The Morph You Will Always Keep
Does anyone have a morph in their collection that no matter what happens you will keep. Me my male clown even in the future if I make pastel clowns lesser clowns or whatever I will always keep him. He will stay with me as a pet and I'll have the other morphs breeding. But him he will live a happy life knowing he is my favorite. Does anyone have a morph that you like the most even a normal counts.

I'm trying to keep my collection small so I figure my males will be rotated out as I move farther genetically. But my female albino I could never really see getting rid of. And i love lessers, my 2 lesser girls will most likely stay.

My first coastal carpet python will likely never be a breeder, always a pet (though he may get a shot just for fun one season). Granted, not a morph and not a ball python, but the same feeling is there towards him :D

Other than that, I don't let myself get attached too hard to any animal, because that's how collections get too big to be manageable when you're breeding.

That said, it is quite likely I will hold on to a number of breeders for their entire lives. Even a female pastel will be useful 10 years down the road.

I would have to say my female pastel is my favorite even though I have other more valuable morphs and my spider is a close second!

I don't think we could ever get rid of this girl. She was our first morph and the first time I laid down $1800 on something I knew nothing about. She is also the mother of our Queen bee that will probably never go anywhere either.

    Say hello to Hathor.

My first BP was a female normal I bought from Petsmart. I'd rather keep her than anything else in my collection because she's my baby:).

But aside from normals, I'm not sure which one of my morphs I'd keep over the other. My Spider male was my first and favorite morph, but he's more stressful. My Pastel female is a sweet calm snake, so maybe her. But I can't decide:P.

I'll always keep my Blood python too.:D

My male pied. I have wanted one for years, and he is just so cool. I hope to keep him healthy and happy for a very long time....

I have a normal female from the first clutch I ever hatched. I got her mother when I was 12 so she is a direct descendant of the snake that started my obsession. I also have a female pastel that is the first morph I produced. She isn't going anywhere either.

All 3 of mine. Normal BP, Patternless Goini Florida King and Amel Cornsnake. They are pets and each has their own unique personality and are a joy to handle. I don't think I could part with any of em (even though my BP is by far the most frustrating. I think she does what she does just for s**** and giggles!)

Re: The Morph You Will Always Keep
    There are a few

There is one normal that is a very nice reduce girl coming from a very good friend of mine.

My female spider I bought a few years back she was the first morph I bought.

The first female pied I hatched.

One of the first Black Pastel female I hatch that I had to assist feed for 6 months.

First Female Bumblebee I hatch a few years back (originally what got me into this hobby)

Different animals different reasons but those girls will NEVER go anywhere.

This is hard and taking the fun out of your game.................
Anything I keep to raise up and breed will stay UNLESS I find someone that could give it a better home than I do;)
I really only plan on selling babies Except for the morphs I have to make because I want them. The list below are my founding snakes and not going anywhere. This includes the soon to come pastel/yellow belly and super pastel females:please:

I think not many will want to give away their breeder females, so the base morphs like pastel, mojave, and spiders are the ones that will be kept for a very very long time.

Re: The Morph You Will Always Keep
I would never sell any kind of morph from my collection :colbert:(if I have a lot of BP's already) that would be a breeder already. But lets face the truth, if there is a very good offer within my interest, why not? hehe. The reason being is that it is very hard to wait for you BP to be a breeder, it takes time and patience specially if they go off feed. So it takes time or a very good offer to get one. :D:D:D

My bumblebee female. :) Bumblebees inspired me to get into bp morphs. Its the coolest combo for me back then, and still continues to amaze me.

This Spider Het Pied girl is the one that gets brought out when people want to see "a snake". Very docile when out of the rack. This is a baby picture but she has just gotten better with age. Very light colored spider. Picture is of her as a hatchling (she's over 1,400g now).

Re: The Morph You Will Always Keep
I'll probably rotate some stuff out as I get combos, particularly with males as I may eventually not keep any single gene males. But my male pied will probably always stay with me. It's my favorite base morph and he's also just a really cool snake.

I'll probably ALWAYS have my current pair of balls. Monty and Ember are my beloved pets, and once I start breeding I figure they'll just always be around. It's going to be a nightmare after they have their first clutch, I'm going to get all doe eyed and want to keep them all xD

My male clown... I began with balls because of a pic from a clown, a very reduced clown. At the very end of last year I finally found him and he will never leave!

I could never get rid of my first snake, a snow corn female. As far as ball pythons go, I could never get rid of my first normal female or my het pied boy. First ball pythons I ever got. To tell you the truth, I hope I never have to get rid of any snakes I purchase or obtain through trade. Its kind of a weird rule I have. If I purchase the animal, I don't re-home it unless absolutely necessary. If I produce the animal through breeding, it is sell-able.

For me it would've been my male Pewter, "Loki". He was my pride and joy. And although he's no longer with me he'll always have that little special place in my heart. :)

Pied pieds and also my pieds.

And my het pied male, because he was the First Snake. You always have to keep your First Snake... especially if he's grumpy and nippy and has waaaaay too much personality, so you're worried no one else will take care of him...

I have four I'll never get rid of.
Male het pied, even when we get pieds, he'll be a back-up or a pet
Female het pied, same reason as above
A female normal, our first. Not only for sentiment, but she gives 7-11 eggs
A male Pewter, he's a stud, eats almost all through winter, and we love him
    :)

I will never rehome my 1st BP a male Pastel het Ghost. I also have a BIG old resue that's a normal male, but is over 3500 grams (when he's feeding) and he is full of personality!

I have many more that i would not rehome, but these two are my favorites!

hands down - a good pastel. For me nothing looks better than something mixed with a pastel, lol. The blushing, the yellow.. its just grand eye candy that makes me giggle.
