not sure if you can tell in these pics but her lower third is huge. idk if it's just the two small rats she ate after shedding or what, let me know.

I would say no. When they ovulate, the look completely inflated. This is my pastel female from last year. Theres no question.

how long do they usually ovulate for? i have heard from 2 hours to 2 days

Personally, the shortest ovulation Ive seen was about 4 hours and Ive had one girl go just short of a day. 2 hours - 2 days seems like a large window, but if your including the extremes it sounds reasonable.

So is this snake just building or gravid? Its doesnt look like an ovy but it def looks like something.

If anything, I would say building. Have you felt any folicles? when was her last shed? Gravid females normally have a tented look instead of looking round. Here is another pic. This female laid about 6 hours after the pic was taken (ignore the scrape on her back, she kept trying to crawl under the lay box :rolleyes:)

she did just eat two rats haha. she had her last shed a week ago ad there are 6 definite follicles. I'm guessing she is still def building, guess I just got excited :)

nope. she just had a pre-ovulation shed if you can call it that so she ate two small rats. she's been bowl wrapping on and off for about a month now and follicle size seems to be getting larger and larger

as of right now she is 2418 grams. she just pooped/peed yesterday but I am thinking she still has some more because she was only 2165 empty before the two rats. this is the second time I've caught her laying like that but she's only been pairing since dec 18. she looks completely different today. idk if she just pooped and that's why or what but she is not huge by any means now. look.

her body looks more triangular today like I've read they look like when they're gravid. compare the pictures earlier to these and tell me what you think.

also just wanted to know I've never seen her do this but will balls sometimes lay inverted like that just because of food? like I said I've never seen her do that but if it's common then I'd love to know lol

Looks like building to me but those are good signs! I would keep paring the male with her too. Good luck and hope she goes for you.

To answer you question about if they lay inverted due to food, from my experience the answer is yes. I have males sometimes lay inverted after meals and one of our breeder females always does after meals. She drives me nuts sometimes, lol.

ah ok thank you! im pairing them once every two weeks or so and they're locking every time. so far I have 4 really good locks with them. so fingers crossed lol
