Well that is a terrible picture, so we really couldn't tell you anyhow without better angles. Looks like a younger snakes, sometimes there is almost a "slit" on their belly from being in the egg that slowly goes away over time.
That doesn't look too abnormal to me, but as I said, it's REALLY tough to see from the picture.

Brown down center of belly is sign of burn

Re: What does this look like to you????
Should a ball python belly be pure white.mines have like a brownish/reddish line going up about 4 or 5 inches. i had her for about a month now and she eats, hides, drinks and does everything just right.Could the mark could have come from the substrate or should i be worried??
-
She might be ready to shed, but if your really worried, take her to the vet.
-
If its a long brown line then it can be a burn happening.
Better picture and type of bedding could help

Re: What does this look like to you????
I use zoo med aspen snake bedding i switched off of carefresh about 1week ago,it may be a burn because when i first got her i did not have a thermostat until a week later, but now i have a thermostat hooked up to the heat source. So maybe a mild burn but will the burn mark stretch out that fur(two inches above the vent then goes on for about 3-4inches)? It does not go to her neck and when i put her under light or something it is not visible i can only see it in a dim light room and still just barley.
I do not have a camera so i cannot get any pics, but you guys on this forum are brilliant i am sure you can figure it out help me :please: .

Take it to a vet or borrow a camera and post some pics of it please.

If you have a cell phone camera, its better than nothing. Take some pics, email them to yourself, and then post them;)

It might be a mild burn but I think it is a shed coming.

She spends a lot of time on the warm side and when i picked her up she was kind of warm.

Re: What does this look like to you????
Well, she should be warm if she's on the warm side :P
From those pictures it doesn't look like anything serious, like Pit said it could either be a very mild burn or just pre-shed pinkness, although it does seem fairly localized. How are you measuring your temps? If you're using a digital thermometer (with the probe right on top of the glass/plastic over the UTH) and the temps are in the low to mid 90s, then I don't really see how it could be a burn.
If you're really worried, you could always take her to a vet to be sure, but I would just keep an eye on it :)

yea either a very mild burn or getting ready for a big shed. How do you control the temp...w what

Re: What does this look like to you????
I control the temps with an exo terra thermostat , it was $41 and works good, I also use a digital probe thermometer and my hotside temps never go over 95 they always stay 88-93 no higher or lower on the warm side.

Do you think i should put her on paper towel and start applying Neo sporin???

Re: What does this look like to you????

Is the probe to your thermostat secured to the heat source OUTSIDE the cage?
Where is your digital thermometer probe? Is it right on the glass, under the substrate, where the UTH is?
It looks like a mild burn to me. A pink belly from a shed would make the whole belly a pale pink color. The pics make the color look localized in one area.
I would switch to paper towels just to keep everything clean. You don't necessarily need to use neosporin. If it is just a mild burn, it will heal by the next shed, which will probably be soon since injured snakes shed a little more often.

Calm. I think it looks something like a mild burn too. The first thing to to figure out where it came from, the obvious choice is the t-stat is reading wrongly or it is allowing high spikes, are you keeping the snake in a tub? Check the temps on the bottom and wait until the unit clicks on and measure the temps carefully for 4 or five min keeping an eye out to see if you get a sharp increase that can happen with this sort of t-stat. I have the exact model that I use to back up a herpstat. If I get a chance I'll play with it tonight and see if it spikes and how high it does.
The first thing is to figure out
A/ is it actually a burn, can you ask someone with more experience near you to take a look?
B/ if it is a burn (what it seems to be... hard to tell for sure from a picture) discover how the snake got burned in the first place and fix it, so it doesn't keep getting worse.
Keep things clean and dry and solve the where it came from problem, everything should be ok. Keep notes of when and what you have done photos of it daily so you can see if it is improving or not. I could also be a shed sign and a mild burn so a shed maybe coming soon (often they will shed if there is damage to the skin).
Good luck and keep us posted on the progress and what you discover.

Re: What does this look like to you????
Thank you so much for the help, and my thermostat probe is right on the warm side under the hide and my thermometer probe is under they hide as well on the warm side were my heat source is, i use a sterlite tub and have a zoo med under tank heater.
So first thing tomorrow i am taking out all of her aspen and switching her over to paper towel until her next shed, and the only exotic vet around me is closed until Monday,So should i also take out the decor and should i give her a soak and apply neo sporin just to be safe?
Tomorrow i will play around with the temps on the thermostat and thermometer and check if anything is not right. So does this sound about right to you guys ?
