Playing with website stuff, I am now seeing how much difference there can be in some web browsers. So Im curious what web browser do most people here use?

Firefox all the way. Fast, clean, customizable, and great protection. Whats the point of anything else?

firefox is great for addons but heavy on system resources... but as far as system resource goes chrome is the best ...

I have to agree, I use chrome on my jukebox which is made from my old computer a whopping 1.0ghz processor, half a gig of ram. i remember when it used to be awesome. but yea I notice a huge difference on that machine. I use firefox on this one.

yea I right click alot lol. some people think txt speak is the way to talk on the internet though, spell check or not.

Firefox here too. I like the ease of use but HATE the fact that it is not a user specific account!!!
I have 2 pcs and 2 laptops that I bounce between and its a pain in the butt to bookmark on every system.
I miss my msn dial up because I could log into msn from any computer in the world and all my stuff was there, I just couldnt justify the extra $20 a month for a browser that I loved on top of the bill for my roadrunner.:O

i honestly never knew there was a browser that did that lol. I guess I might just bounce around with a pen drive with updated bookmarks every once in a while. I just got my one computer and the juke box, never really thought about that.

Yeah its MSN for members but I cannot justify or afford the cost right now. $20 a month isnt bad but I would rather spend it on my snakes;)

I love Firefox, there are horses running across the top of my browser page :P

Firefox. I have little green Androids running around mine.
I've tried to like Chrome but am sticking with FF.

Re: What web browser you use?
Chromium. Which is an open source browser.
It's Chrom but updated and faster, and not to mention open source

Not sure if it's still around, but check out xmarks -- it does what you're talking about. Chrome also has something similar with syncing bookmarks through your google account. No need to pay MSN to do what there are free alternatives for. :gj:

hey guys guess what I found...
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...anager-starta/

This extension allows you to access all your personal bookmarks online. If you save or edit an online bookmark that change is instantly made to all your other computers. No synchronization is required because you are actually using the bookmarks in real time.
Perfect for those that use multiple computers at home, for work, traveling, at a friends house, or Internet cafe. You will never lose or misplace a bookmark as they will be saved safely online.
I just read the description I donno how well it works, but for you guys willing to pay 20 bucks a month, might be worth a shot for free.

I'm patiently waiting for Firefox's Android app to support my Droid. As of yet it doesn't but if/when it does I will be one happy camper.

Chrome has more add-ons or extensions. It's like getting Windows 7 or a MAC OS* w/o all the BS pre installed undesired software.

*In no way do I encourage the use of Apple or Microsoft proprietary software.

I wish he would of went into more detail about what makes it faster, instead of saying its just simply faster.

I use Safari on my Mac except in the unlikely scenario of web browsing on my gaming PC, when I use Firefox. I'm sure Google Chrome is fine, but I've never even tried it. If I ever get back into doing more work with websites like I used to, I'm sure I'll at least have all the major browsers installed for every platform I have, but for now, I just don't need to.

Yea thats what I ended up doing, then firefox has an addon where it adds buttons to the very right of the tab bar that allow you to open your current page in any browser you have installed, I got IE, chrome, opera, and safari installed. I only use them to see how my webpage views on them.
believe it or not opera has been the one that require the least amount of work to get stuff to show up correctly. Just about anything I do opera requires no extra work. Like even the simple task of adding a favicon, all I had to do was upload the favicon to the root and opera show'd it, where other browser required extra code to get it to show up. IE has been the pickiest tho. the favicon shortcut name was "favicon" instead of "icon" and all other browser show'd it but IE, it needed it to be "icon"
I have very little web building experience tho, this is all new to me.

Re: What web browser you use?
Chrome - worked faster than Fire Fox for me. Plus the screen is a lot fuller with Chrome.:P
-
don't kill me window users but...
Safari!
*Hides* lol:rofl:
-
Chrome for sure. Firefox and Explorer run super slow for me.

Re: What web browser you use?
Most of the time Chrome, if I'm on the PC. Safari if I'm on the Mac. The Firefox on the Mac never opens a PDF, just a blank page.
