Peoria IL EXPO

Does anyone know what day the Peoria reptile EXPO is i would like to go since i live pretty close by it.

I didnt even know there was one...hopefully someone will chime in with some info cause I'd like to go as well! :gj:

yea supposedly it has the same name as the Indianapolis expo but then i just saw that it also doesnt go on anymore but then again i also heard that it does so i sure do hope someone can chime in as well too

Well dang, there is a show in Peoria? I'm in.

I have googled and googled and can find no info on this. :( Too bad. I'm only 30 mins from Peoria as opposed to the couple hours form Wheaton, IL.

Unless its in someones back yard it does not exist any more.I have a freind who is trying to get something going but so far nada.

The show was closed do to some personal trouble.

I guess the cat is out of the bag....

I've been looking into finding the perfect spot to start or should I say, re start a show in the greater Peoria Area.
I've looked at and passed on a few venues so far. But I will surely find a spot. And as soon as I do, there will be a new monthly show in the area!!

This thread is nine months old I know... But is there any news you can give on this? Tinley is a LONG drive and Peoria is alot closer. Besides that, Tinley is only once a year! A monthly show would be awesome...

update:

We have been working with the fairgrounds on setting dates for 2012.
We have been talking with the city of Peoria, on getting the proper permits,
taxes and "entertainment" fees.
Everytime we think we are good to go, something else always seems to pop up.
With the problems the other show had, it has caused some cold feet with the local government.
So far, this has been the hardest project I've attempted to start. And I thought St Louis was diffcult!
Keep your fingers crossed. 2012 seems like it is when it's going to happen!

Keep us posted. I'd love to be able to go to more expo's then just NARBC, even if it is half the size, it's still worth the drive to be around other herp lovers.
