Dumeril's Boa At the Park Lol..
No one goes to my neighborhood park that much which means it's the awesomest place to take my Dumeril's boa to.
I did run into two people but I ensured them that she wasn't aggressive, "poisonous", etc.
Here's a few pics:)

Thanks for looking!
Also, I love taking pictures after pictures so if anyone wants to see a certain reptile in my collection let me know:)

Nice looking Dumeril's! They've always been one of my favorite snakes and finally picked one up year before last. I don't understand why these aren't much more popular in the pet trade. I have a friend that owns a reptile shop and in over 30 years this is the one species that's never bit him. I don't even handle mine much and she stays dog tame even when I'm having to get a stuck shed off. They don't have much in the way of morphs but as far as pets go, I think these are even better than boa constrictors yet boa constrictors sell many times better compared to these. I guess just name recognition.

Thanks!! I definitely agree about that, I've noticed more of them being sold at shows but not a whole lot more. They're perfect for a starter semi-large snake if someone wanted to get into owning larger snakes.:)
Wow that's amazing, they have awesome attitudes:D. I think the only morph that there is for a Dum is Hypo. It looks pretty sweet though! I definitely prefer a Dum over a BCI or BCC any day so I know whatcha mean there.

Wish I could take my BP out to the park... But today it was only 40 degrees outside.... Makes for a very comfortable me but a not so comfortable snake. :(:(
Thanks!! Well it will warm up soon enough, but definitely take photos of your BP at the park when you do go:).

LOL the old lady was definitely shocked. This other man was sitting at the bench while I was sitting in the grass with my boa and he didn't really say anything until the lady was asking me questions.
I kept saying 'she' so he asked me how I could tell if it was a girl:P

Re: Dumeril's Boa At the Park Lol..
They had a bunch at the White Plains show, and it really made me want to get one. I have a red tail right now that is still small, and I got her because I wanted a big snake. But now I'm thinking I should have gotten a dumeril's because there right in-between being really big, and average size. Looks like I gotta have both now...;)
Re: Dumeril's Boa At the Park Lol..
Great photos as usual Tiff. I'm glad to see she's doing good for you... :gj:

It's at a shop I always buy from. I may swing by there tomorrow and check on the price, and if they still have one, I may put a deposit down...

I gotta get one of these. Soo gorgeous. I've heard they are picky eaters though. Can't be worse than a ball though :)

Mine wasn't PICKY per say, but I learned she liked being fed every 10-14 days. She was young too.
