    Dinker shed...What do you think?
Our newly aquired dinker male has shed off and I wanted to see what you guys think? I was thinking Cinny/Black Pastel at first, but now I'm not sure. Possibly part of the BEL complex or maybe something phantom-ish? Or there is always the possibility of him being normal, but that's no fun! He should be fun to work with! let me know your thoughts!

Definitely does not look "normal" by any stretch. Hope it proves out for you!

I agree, it doesn't look black pastel or cinny. There are some funky hets going on though, good luck proving whatever he is! :gj: I don't know anything about the Harlequins, but they have those floaty heads and the stripe.... I can't find much on them, but this is interesting http://www.reptileinsider.com/showthread.php?t=12369 Does he have those tracks?

I love the high white sides. It doesn't look normal to me. But you never know til you prove him out. Good luck! :gj:

Definitely a worthwhile dinker project IMO! Very very cool looking snake. He doesn't look cinny/black pastel, but you never know. He could just be a bizarre variation. Or he could be part of the BEL complex, or something completely new.

Good luck proving him out either way!

He's is awesome looking! Do you have belly pictures? Or is it just clear? :)
I really hope he proves out to be something for you. Dinker project are always fun to follow on here. Wish I had one myself.:)

Thanks guys/gals! Some of the Harlequin's look similar to him? I have also seen some Phantom's and het. BEL's that look very similar to him.

The only belly shot I have at the moment is kind of unclear. He does seem to have some sort of tracks though? I'll get better shots when I am home!

Ooo. Yeah, I'd probably breed it to a cinny/black pastel just to check. But definitely to a mojave.

Re: Dinker shed...What do you think?
I'd breed that to a normal first just to see what's up with that beautiful snake :)
Or even a mojo/lesser to see if it is in the BEL complex.

Considering the center belly scales look clean and mark free, I'd breed it to a single gene yellow belly.

That is a very interesting animal! I would breed him to your Mojave female! Those floating heads should at least make some really nice mojaves! Was it wild caught? If not, what was the parents?

Re: Dinker shed...What do you think?
Thanks guys! I have no idea what the background is on this snake as he was just mixed into a shipment of BP's at a local pet store. I'm super excited about trying to prove him out though!

I am planning on running him through a big normal girl next year and possibly my mojo female (depending on her results this year). I have no YB in my collection, so that is out of the question at the moment.

Here is another pic of his belly.

That would be CRAZY! I'd love to see if he proves out that way. He does look like a darker Mystic.

Either way, you've got one great-looking animal there. :gj:

Thank you! This has been my exact thought, but I don't want to get my hopes up. Most mystics I have seen had more of a Yellow/Tan/Brown look to them, but he could be a darker Mystic (or something similar)? I have seen a few pics that closely resemble him online though.
