Helix vs Herpstat 1?

I recently built my own rack based off Peter Williams' 11, 28 qt tub tower... I went with 10 tubs using the top as a shelf. Also did the 17" Flexwatt back heat. Now, I am torn between 2 thermostats, Im looking at the Helix DBS1000 with the grounded cord, and the Herpstat 1 proportional thermostat with the grounded cord also. I've tried a few searches but seem to find a lot on the herpstat 2 and not the herpstat 1... Just wondering what everyones thoughts are on these 2 thermostats.

Herpstat all the way

I use a hydrofarm for racks, I built the same rack, twice :)

I personally use a Helix on my rack, and I love it. Temps are always constant with no worries.

However, I will be needing a second thermostat soon, and would like to see what people have to say about both.

Just FYI, there's probably 20+ threads on this very topic that can be found using the SEARCH function.

I think most people prefer the Herpstats

I understand how to use the search function and I did go that route, I was just seeing too much with the herpstat 2 which at this point it time is going a little beyond my budget so I was wondering about the herpstat 1 vs the Helix.

I do have a helix for my incubator though

Thanks for all the input... im currently purchasing the Herpstat 1 from the beanfarm. Should be fun to get my rack up and running... gotta go make some more hides now, I am way excited to finally have my rack!!

I've got a regular herpstat, great unit and has worked perfectly for a year so far.

Grats on your purchase. You'll definitely love the rack!! I have 3 Herpstats right now and couldn't be happier with them.
