My new Pastel pickup and my Normal
Some of you saw when I posted today that I was going to trade my Dumerils boa for a Pastel. I posted the dumerils on craigslist, and within two days someone responded and let me know he had a female pastel he was willing to trade. A few emails later, and meeting up tonight, and I am now the new owner of a beautiful pastel. She's absolutely gorgeous. It was apparently his first snake ever, and he was going to breed her, but didn't have the time to do so. I don't know about you, but I could never let my first snake go....EVER.
Anyway, on to the pics.

I don't think I could be any happier right now. Actually, I take that back, the only thing that will make me happier is when I pick them both up a mate for later down the road at Repticon next weekend. :D

Do you have any belly shots of the normal? Curious to see what it looks like...
Thanks! Everyone who I talk to always says she's an exceptional normal. I always just assumed most normals were that color. When she's fresh shed, her light browns almost turn like a gold. I'll have to get a picture of that one time, she's really pretty when she's like that.
As for her belly, it's clean white down to about halfway when near her tail there are some nice black spots and blotches. I'll definitely take some more pics when I get home tonight so you can see what I mean.

Thanks, yes, I used my D90 with my SB-400 bounced off the ceiling.

I don't know. My crappy scale only goes up to 400g and then says "OVLD". So I need a new scale to find out. She'll be ready to breed by next year. I figure if I get a 2010 male at Repticon next weekend, they should both be about ready by then. ;)
