What do ya'll think I should do???
This is going to be my 1st time breeding balls and I just want some opinions. I have a normal 50% het albino and a normal 50% het pie ball. Both females and both at the right weight. I'm just having difficulty choosing which males to breed them to. Dominant or Recessive? What do you guys think???

    Thanx:D

Well i would buy a male spider 100% het albino for the possible het albino to make albino spiders if she proves out. Then i would buy a male pied to try and prove out the possible het pied to try and make pieds of course :gj:.

If they are both 50% het, I'd go with an Albino male and pied male if you can afford them. Prove the females out. If not, go with 100% het morphs as joepythons suggested.

Yea, if you have 50% hets, there is no reason to try to mix in something other then what they are het for.. if you did the 50% het albino to a straight spider you would have babies that are 25% (or even less) het for albino... no fun at all there....

I would breed them to the visual to prove them out and if they don't prove at least you'll have 100% hets

Go for the 2 in one and get yourself a 100 % DH Alb Pied male. :gj:

Obvious answer is to get a visual albino pied male but maybe a bit expensive ;)

It all depends if the genes are genes you have an interest in? If right now you really want a cool codom morph on the market or something else go with it. If later the albino or pied trait pop up and surprise you then cool!!! You can always go back later and prove them out if you decide you want too. Generally speaking our possible het females and males get sold as normals and never really even mention the possible het part of it. Possible double hets on the other hand are worth mentioning since the odds have definately increased that they carry one of the two traits at least.

I'm a lot more interested in the Albino gene. I think its a lot cooler look then the pied ball trait. I found this normal 100% lavender albino male. What do you guys think about me picking that up and breeding back to my 50% het albino?

lavender albino and albino are two totally different things... that wouldn't help you any.

Just pick up an albino male. :D

Depends on whether or not the 50% is really a het

50% Het Lav Albino x 100% Lav Albino could either give you

A clutch normals and Het Lav Albinos (50/50) all offsprings would look normal and would be considered 50% Het Lav Albinos, that if the possible het does not prove out

    or

25% Lavender Albinos + 50% Het Lav Albinos + 25% Normasl (In this case all the normal looking offsprings are considered 66% Het Lav Albinos, that is if he het proves out.

and remember it could take years of breeding before proving or disproving a het (it will depends on your odds)

Again depends if the possible het proves out or not

You would either get a clutch of 100% Het Albinos, that's if the possible het does not prove out.

or you would get Albinos and 100% Het Albinos (50/50) if the possible het proves out. (of course it's 50% per egg)
