    When were you there, where were these two? Poor momma looks skinny, but her cub looks like it's growing fast!

    Gotta love an alaskan brown bear. I try to get up there twice a year, and it's scenes like the ones above that really draw me to the wilderness there :D

    i was on an inlet of katmai national park (kodiak, ak). if you saw the movie, the grizzly man, most of it was shot in the same general area...although these photos are from a different part.

    i did go to the area known as the grizzly maze though.

    amazing trip.

    Those are so perfect it almost looks unreal!!! Love it! How amazing to take a trip like that. We so want to take a trip to Alaska...only problem is I want to stay like a month as there is Sooooooooooooooo much to see. :rolleyes: Yea try talking the hubby into that one....:P

    using canon 1d IV and canon 70-200mm 2.8 L IS ii. our group was sitting on a small rocking hillside and this mom and cub came down over the hill right next to us. We never heard them at all.

    The cub was very curious about us, and came well within 5 feet.
