Thanks! I just saw your post. I have two. They are pretty cool looking.

I am breeding one of my T+ males to one of my motley possible het T+ females now, so hopefully I will have some T+ motleys pretty soon.

I would be more than happy to take one of them off your hands.

I am curious though... Is there something wrong with the super motleys head? It looks..... Wrong. lol

Super motley's kind of have the same thing going on as super cinnamon BP's. The head is generally differently shaped. It doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with it.

Wow cool I didn't know that about super motleys.

That is really interesting. Are there any other red tail boa morphs that have this problem? I've heard of all white snakes with this same problem. I don't know if that morph has a name other than princess diamond from Jeremy Stone's snake though.

Both supers are doing very well. They are just a little smaller than the other females their age. I am hoping to try breeding them next season.

I will. The female is growing slowly. The male is quite a bit larger than her. I have popped an probed them multiple times thinking I have switch them, but it is always the same... I will just keep feeding her and hope she gets up to size soon.

Yes, Colombian and Central American super motleys (which is what mine are) both have genetic issues. All Colombian super motleys die at around two years old. This does not seem to be the case with CA super motleys. Mine are around 3.5 years old now, and are doing fine. They do not produce the muscles in their necks correctly, which is why their heads look weird. They do act a little strange, but are healthy and eating well. They do not strike as well as non-super motleys, and often miss on the first shot. The oldest CA super motleys that I know of were produced in 2006, and from my understanding are still living. Some people have said that they will not be able to breed, but I have never actually heard of anyone trying to breed them. I am hopefully going to attempt to breed mine next season.
