how the heck do you get a snake that is het for 2 genes?! especially those 2 which are so drastically different?
and how do you tell the difference between naturally blue eyes and the "in shed" blue?
beautiful snakes nonetheless.:gj:

Breeding a visual pied and visual albino, or any 2 different recessive gene will yield to double het for the trait. Which is in this case, double het pied and albino. Hope this helps. :)
As for the eyes, certain morphs have distinguished eye colors. As for pins, they usually have those silvery eyes. A snake in shed appears to have opaque eyes, and gradually becomes milky blue during the progression of the shedding cycle. Until it clears out on the day the old skin will be shed. :)

@Steph - I love how your pin turned out to be. Im a sucker for light colored pins. And that one is probably one of the lightest pin Ive seen. And that mojo's blushing, wow! Great selection! :)

I'm in love with her eyes! The sliver is so neat. I'll have to get some better lighting in there since my camera won't let me use any flash in that setting.

A close friend of mine is working on albino pieds and he was nice enough to give me a chance to work on my dream morph! For the het boy his sire and dam would have been a visual albino and a visual pied. The girls on the other hand didn't have an albino parent. The sire was pied and dam was het pied.
And thank you!

She is crazy light! I'm extremely happy with her! I wish I could get a good pic of her color, but it's so hard to get the flash light enough without washing her out. She's very cool! I definitely prefer lighter pins as well! And the mojo, she has turned out to be a looker for sure! She'll be fun to play with, but her first project is BELs!

Still new to this, whats being shown with the belly shots. Nice group of snakes. I picked my pin because he is so light.

Thank you! I love that shot too! It's not my first tongue shot, and every time I try to get another, I ask my self, "why am I doing this again?"

Thank you. The belly shots are to show the het pied markers because people live by those markers. It was just merely to let people see what some het pied bellies looked like, and that all het pied markers do not look the same, nor are they a for sure thing. I doubt anyone would pick these snakes out of a pile of normals and say "these are definitely het pieds!"
