    Am I Yellow...?
    Hey guys,

After reading a thread on here in identifing a yellow belly I thought i'd have another look at my normal who has a reduced pattern. She does look lighter than confirmed yellow bellies i've seen, but some of the characteristics she has I think could questioin it? here are some pics and i've highlighted the areas that I think could call her a yellow belly? your input is most welcome! :D

    1. Light spot on top of head

    2. Flames (maybe)

    3. Blushing?

It has real nice colors but I am looking at a side by side comparison with your pics and it just looks like a good looking normal to me.

It's a normal. YB's have an odd checkerboard pattern transitioning from the belly up the sides. It's hard to describe.

You have pics of her belly somewhere? That's the only sure way i know of identifying a YB.

Well first of all you need belly shots, you can't truly tell a yellow belly just by looking at it top side. And the flames are in between the colored patches in the black. Yours has some flames, that's fairly common in just about every normal and many morphs. I'm guessing not yellow belly even without the belly shots.

Very nice normal! But thought I'd mention, what you think is "blushing" is actually referred as the "flames". "Blushing" is the term to describe the lighter faded colors where the black usually is on the top of the animal.

    ..Hard to describe.

I'll share some pics of my yellowbelly male, he has a really nice patterned belly.
You can kind of see some of the "checkering" in the pattern

It looks like you have a very beautiful normal with some great flames on the side. :)

Without shots of the belly it's hard to tell. What you may want to look at, however (again, depending on what the belly looks like) is the sticky for hunters guide to morphs. There is a reduced pattern ball like yours that is genetic - the TRP. Those flames, the light head, and the nice reduced pattern lead me to believe that if the belly is real clear, it may be a TRP but you'd have to prove it out. If not, definitely a really nice reduced pattern normal.
