My Records Keeping System for my BP.

I know how important records keeping is. I wanted to share the records and notes pages that my husband and I created to use for our ball python, Sorcha. :snake:

Great Sheet - The only thing I added was a column to track my little guys growth (weight/length)

Thats gonna come in handy. Thanks. One comment and question though. First whats B/M and is there a way I could edit it to note the weight of said snake. :D :gj:

Like said above, weight of the snake is missing, and one thing I also like to track is the weight of the food I give my snakes.

Working on a revised version right now. I can't believe that I forgot to add weight on the chart. *DUH!* :O

I left out a few categories ;) Apparently I shouldn't have been in such a hurry to get the first one done. I've also added a link for an XLS File so the spreadsheet can be saved and changed to suit each individuals needs. :D

Thank you! :D I appreciate all of the comments and suggestions. I'm glad that I was able to share a version that could be changed per users preferences as well. Credit goes to my hubby on that! ;)

very cool

i'm using a pen & a 5 subject notebook, lol. call me simple but it works for me. each subject in this notebook contains info on certain things going on with the snake's care/setup...
1)feeding/eating log (where i record feeding dates, times and what happens)
2)shed log (where i write down shed dates & any problems/concerns)
3)weight/growth log (where i will keep track of my girl's growth & weight...i dont actually have the scale yet but that's in february's budget)
4)temperature log (where i keep track of dates, times & temps on the warm & cool side in the terrarium)
5)humidity log (where i keep track of dates, times and humidity readings in the terrarium)

i decided to do this cuz if i ever need to take my girl to the vet i have any & all care information regarding my snake that the vet might ask for. also for my own peace of mind as well.
oh & on the front of my notebook, i have some other info regarding my girl - species, morph, sex, hatch date, purchase date & the name of her breeder.

I was handwriting notes. Now I just print out my blank pages, hole punch them and put them into a three ring binder. I am still hand filling in the pages. I just feel more organizing this way and can easily reference info too.

I have several animals that I do this for. I rescue exotics so it's important for me to stay systematic and organized. I have a lot of information that I need to be able to access and it also helps when one is re-homed to be able to send the info with them. I think the system is easy to read even for someone who is not familiar with it and its handy for the vets too.

I think as long as one keeps records it doesn't matter how its done. It's the record keeping itself that is important.

Im No where near Oscoda. Im off Lake st. Clair by Harsens Island

Still using this system and it has worked wonderfully for keeping detailed records on my snakes. Hope others have found it to be as useful as I have.
