I'm not an expert on mystics so I won't comment on if they are or not. But, if you are concerned if they are or not I wouldn't trade. Check out the breeder to see if they have any feedback or if people on here know them. Good luck.

I have not got into the mystics yet...so I am not an expert by no means, but...those look like mojaves to me.

    google "mystic ball python"
    compare

as you can see they look like mystics, mystics vary alot in looks.

are they mystics? your trusting the person your getting them from.

Increasing the size of the image helps a little...the 2 outside ones look like they may be mystics, middle one still looks like a mojave to me, lol. Like said above, you have to put your trust in the breeder. They know what they bred to produce the animals. It is amaizing how much the mystics can vary in looks.

The middle one looks very Mojo to me. Maybe Tim (Muddoc) will see this and chime in as he's worked with them quite a bit I believe.

Mystics look a lot like Mojaves. The original male was offered to Big Gunns before Anthony got it. BG was asked if he wanted an "ugly Mojave male". BG looked at it..... considered the price then said "no". WAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH. :tears::tears::tears: Well, at least BG didn't turn down the Candy.:D

You do need to trust who you're buying Mystics from. Ask the breeder how they produced it. If they produced it from a Mojave X Mystic breeding you need to be careful. Some of the "experts" can't even tell the difference from the clutch. It's best to buy one from a Mystic only(no Mojave) breeding just to be 100% sure.:gj:

Or you can always get a pair and prove it few years later and see if you get super mojo, mystic potion, or super mystic as offsprings. I say they are all pretty koooollll.....

Are you sure these two are in your original picture of the three? To me they are not, look at the stripe on the back and the side pattern.

I don't think either of the snakes in the second pic are in the first pic. They look like totally different snakes to me....but I'm not very awake right now.

Big Gunns agrees with Ace. These are not the same animals, and don't look like Mystics. BG would not do this deal now unless you have some good references. It can be hard to tell from pics sometimes, but these animals look nothing like the first ones you posted.

I picked up a "mystic" I was not sure about either so I am far from an expert, but even I can see the bp's in the second pic are not the same snakes as in the first pic.

yes the 2 inthe second pic are not the same they one a reduce patter and the other does not have any of teh blushing or flames like the 3 in the first pic I guess ing that someone tryingto possible pull a fast one. go else were I betting they all normal /mojave (if that ) and are being passed off as others.. I no mystic owner ( or even knowledge about them) but those snakes are fishy if they same image not being shown..
I really would look at other sources at this point or some feedback form other customers.when dealing with an unknown that has questionable morphs.

Since my name was brought up in this thread, I thought I would throw in my two cents (although most of what I can contribute has been discussed already). I do agree that the second pic looks like totally different snakes. Just with that evidence alone, I would steer clear of that trade deal. As far as the first picture is concerned, as many have stated, there is alot of variability in Mystics. I have produced somewhere in the neighborhood of 25-30 Mystics and there is a ton of variability. As BG stated, I produced a ? animal from a Mystic to Mojave 2 years ago. She is now about 800 grams, and I still don't know what it is. Lastly, I find it very difficult to determine a Mystic from a photo, and even in person, the determining factors can be very subtle. I often times can tell which are which as soon as they hatch, but find it difficult to determine which is which after a few sheds. Therefore, I identify them as soon as they hatch, and seperate them before I get confused.

With all of the above stated, unless you fully trust whom you are buying from, I would wait until you can find a trustworthy source for your Mystic.

    I hope that helps,

The Person in the ad above is the person i got the pics from those are not the only mystics he has. he had sent me a couple of shots of the mystics he had for me to choose from. he said that they were from a male mystic to normal female pairing. the second pic are different snakes from a diff clutch this is what he said

I like the looks of that second snake. Can't vouch for whether or not it is a mystic, as I have no experience with them, but I like it!
