What would you choose?
To all, if you had a choice between a female pinstripe or a female spider at the same price, which would you choose?
-
Pinstripe. I love my female spider but really want to build pinstripe into my collection.
-
Re: What would you choose?
Depends on what you wanna breed in the future. People have different taste. And for me, definitely spider. :) Why? Hmm, coz I prefer spider crosses compared to pinstripe crosses.

Re: What would you choose?
pinstripe hands down. no wobbles, and less has been done with them. i think pin combos are going to be some of the hotests animals out there in the next few years.
-
I think you should go with what you like, you are the one who has to look at it everyday, clean it,feed it ect.. Which animal is more appealing to you?
My preference is Spiders because from my expierence they tend to eat a little better. I like the apperance of a spider alot more than a pinstripe. My spider/combos have always ate great and bred early.

I have both and my pinstripe is a pain in the butt with feeding so I go spider.

I have to agree. Mainly 'cause no wobble. But I looovvee kingpins, butterpins, desert pins, chocolate pins, jigsaws...... mmmm-mmmm! :D
Of course, I don't have either one yet and now hearing that pins may be more finicky eaters, I'd certainly look into that and take it into consideration.... poop....

Re: What would you choose?
I have both, they both eat like champs. But the chose has to be with what you want to make in the future.
-
Re: What would you choose?
I am really a fan of the pinstripe. I have a few close friends with them and they never have had a problem with them eating, but it is all personal preference.
-
Re: What would you choose?
Pinstripe because I've got an innate fear of the spider wobble, and because there's less that's being done with them compared to the myriad of spider combinations that are becoming more and more commonplace.
-
I'd go with the Pinstripe!
-
Go for the pin! But you must also consider the pattern of the spider!
-
Spider, spider gene just looks great in combos. and pins well in my opinnion dont. I like that they dont have wobble thats probably the main plus for me. its all personal preference im about to get a spider combo. and join the "flooded" market as someone mentioned earlier but if your not a a huge breeder who cares lol

Re: What would you choose?
OK, please explain wobble when talking about spiders?

You-Tube "spider wobble" there are a ton of videos posted.
My male's wobble varies depending how hungry he is
Now you asked what we would choose. I would go with the pin just because I already have a spider.;)
Pick the one that catches your eye the most! Or, if you are planning on breeding later to make something you want rather than buying it, check which one will fit into those plans.
-
i say flip a coin there both great morphs
-
Re: What would you choose?
I would look at them and choose whichever looks the best, or just get both of them. Sure, why not? Go for it.
-
Pinstripe all the way baby!
-
Spiders are my fav out of the 2.. but now I have spiders, and want to work pin's in my collection later.. love the spinner mix on other combo's. but spider first. so many cool things out there with the spider. Spider is pattern and color where pin is mainly just pattern. ( Correct me if I'm wrong)
My bumble bee has a slight wobble, well about 6 months ago i think it started to dissapear and he is 2.5 years old now. Now you just see a random head tilt when he lays rests....
-
Re: What would you choose?
I'd have to say Pinestripe. I have to say that considering mixing the two, I don't like Cinny Bees much, nor do I find much to look at with the spider gene but bees. But Pinestripes I love everything mixed with them. Don't get me wrong though, I have a Vanilla Spider project in the works. My Bee is gonna breed with my Vanilla in a year or so.

Personally I like spiders morphs more. Only exception is kingpin.
But as others stated earlier, take one that you like more...You might get other one also sooner or later :)
-
Re: What would you choose?
Believe me, whichever one you get first, you will want to get the other one very soon. I will get a female spider frist since spiders tend to eat better, and maybe a male pin some time later.
-
Re: What would you choose?
not a big difference in price, how you should make up your mind isn't what others think, but what you like and the combos they produce. if you like them both and asking this question cause you can't decide, then look at them both. is one a better example than the other of their morphs. example, if the pin is smokin and the spider is average, this should help in picking.
-
Depends on what you want to breed, bees or pinstripe combos. Also female spiders are less than female pinstripes-normally. If the spider is great quality and more expensive because of that, or if the pin is less because she isn't great quality go for the spider.

I would choose the spider, there's just something about that pattern that I love.
