I just got one. It's a very nice rack with everything included, and ready to plug into your thermostat. I'm planning on doing a video review comparing this one with the one made by Animal Plastics.

I have 8 of these racks (total of 32 tubs). I think they are the best for the buck. Mine are the 4 tub ones though... (the 4 tub ones are almost the same price, and you get an extra tub. The 4 high can't be shipped though... so you have to arrange to pick them up yourself at a show. )

Although I do not have the CB70 racks, I do have some of Rich's 32 quart racks. They are great. However, the price is a little high, so I decided to start making my own for a fraction of the cost. If I had the extra cash, I would love to use exclusively Reptile Basics cages and racks.

For that price you can build 3 3 slots complete.

Idk something about paying 250+ for 3 slot rack is waste of money.

I have the 4 slot version that i paid $300 cash for from Rich and i LOVE IT. It's the best rack i've ever owned and the quality is top notch. Local pickup is always a plus, but if you want a good QUALITY rack, then get the 3 slot shipped to you.

Yes you can make the same size melamine racks for a quarter of the price, but this rack is light weight, looks good and holds humidity very well. A melamine rack of the same size would weight 3 to 4 times as much, if not more.

I have the 4-high version, which I bought secondhand (for a VERY good price) from a BP.net member who lives nearby. So far I have no complaints, in fact it's my favorite of the 4 racks I have - which are all different brands, including a custom one my friend made for me.

My only complaint is that I have trouble measuring temps, since you can't really reach into a tub once it's closed... so I've had to use a tape measure along the side, marking where the hot spot hits the tub, and then trying to place a probe exactly there. You also can't temp-gun the tub's hot spot, for the same reason of not being able to reach inside. I guess that's also what makes them so good, as they really do close tightly! So I'd say yes, go for it, especially if you can find one secondhand or pick it up at a show (thus saving shipping costs).

NO, most people (myself included) don't have the tools / skills / time required to make three racks for the money... Dont get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with home made racks, but don't fool yourself. Seldom is a home made rack even close to equal to the quality of Riches racks (he does after all sell enough stuff to make a living out of it).

With few exceptions, I can tell you that the odds are my "waste of money" racks will still be fully functional and in use long after most home made racks die.

RBI racks aren't cheap, but they are dollar for dollar the best value for most people like me.

The dividers are just for the 32 qt rack. You can have 2 16 qt then remove the divider to get a 32 qt. Check out my youtube video to see the 32 qt. with divider

I assume he sent you to Greg West. He has very good quality racks definitely worth the price. Very comparable to Rich's. I recently bought 2 of his CB-70 4 high PVC racks and it cost me a little over $1000 with shipping to Ontario. Got here in less then a week...

I think they're worth it.. Only because I made racks before and it's not worth the trouble for me.

    Either way good luck!
