Re: Little rescue update.
She's VERY pretty! :sunny:
A typical shed process doesn't cause the vent to look like that. However, if the irritation was just a surface issue...or an old issue that has been healing for awhile now, then it can be shed off in a single shed. I'd still keep an eye on the area and keep her substrate clean and dry. Looks to me like she's well on her way to 100% recovery in an excellent home. :D
Re: Little rescue update.
Well. got the results back on the fecal float test and she does have internal parasites. My friend the vet won't be in to work until Sunday night, so I have to wait until then to take her in. He feels that it is not serious and some oral medication will clear her up. So, I'll wait another week till I feed her again. Or I'll see what the Vet says on Sunday night. Too feed or not.
Re: Little rescue update.

No word yet, had to leave both the little ball python and the bearded dragon that we rescued there until tomorrow evening. I'll post the vets findings tomorrow, gotta hit the sack now, gotta work in the morning. Thankyou everybody for your support and comments.
Re: Little rescue update.
OK, 11:30 pm, the vet just called, Slinky is loaded with pin worms. He is sending it home with 3 doses of dewormer for me to inject into her f/t rats every other week. He says that she should be fine after this is done. I will have her weight from her chart when I pick her up in the morning. Will post more after I get her back home. I know this is off topic, but the bearded dragon has recovered from MBD earlier in it's life. The bones have rehardened, however, her front legs will be permanently deformed. Doesn't seem to slow her down any though. So all-in-all I think I've got a good report from the vet. Thankyou all for your comments and support. I will post more info in the morning.
Re: Little rescue update.
Well, got them back this morning, Her weight is 244 grams. The vet says that after the meds she should be healthy as a fiddle. Feed her one small rat per week giving a dose of .05cc of payrantel pamoate(strongid) with every other feeding. Feels good to have her home.
Re: Little rescue update.
Well, she got her first F/T small rat injected with her medication. She took it like a champ. I think it's all gonna work out fine. Thanks again everybody.
