Strips of chicken + King snake=?????

this guy is selling a king snake and he says it eats chicken strips never heard of this can this harm the snake???

I used to know some one who fed his Burmese chicken legs. I never found out if it was harmful or not.

i've seen a youtube video of a bp eating a live chick before.
idk if it was a chicken or a duck i dont remember, but it was real.

I'm pretty sure they need the calcium from the bones. Don't they? I can understand a chicken, or body parts, but just the meat? Sounds like a red flag to me.

WIth all the steroids and other unknown crap in chicken now, I would never give that to my snake, although I know some people do.

i have seen several people feed their snakes chicken legs. supposed to make the poo smell something awful though.

They need the calcium from the bones. Feeding them - and most snakes, poultry is fine but not just strips.

if its fine, could you give a bp or king snake a raw chicken wing with the bone and it would be fine??

Not a lot of meat on a wing.

I would stick to whole prey items. That way you should be providing all the needed nutrition. The fact you always get crap out of one end is no reason to put it in the other. :P

I have fed my BP's chicks in the past but always as one course of a rodent based diet and I'm not sure I want to feed too many chicks in the diet given the reports of what it does to the smell/ consistency of the poop. :rolleyes:

I couldn't say what a diet of chicks would be like as a diet for a kingsnake though. Chicken pieces however are unlikely to be a good long term diet for anything.

yeahh i wouldnt feed them chicken i was just suprised that it was ok to feed chicken haha i fed it to my savanah monitor alot and he loved it POOP SMELLED AWFUL but he loved it

I tried to feed my ball python a small quail before (Already Dead) & thawed out. He was not interested at all.
