That is a hot Cutty! I used to be into import tunning! But, only of the German kind!! I had a 96 Mk3 VW Gti VR6 with a Turbo! YEAH! 368 w/hp with 374 lbs of torque! Ran a nice 11.08 on the track....tried drag slicks and broke a axle! LOL! But, now my love is Crotch Rockets! 06 636 and 06 GSXR 1000. But, now I'm getting into trucks! I have a 05 Avalanche for taking bikes around! I wanna turbo or supercharge it! Since it's 2WD I lowered it....gonna paint it myself this summer! But, I'm thinking about finding a 64 1/2 Ford Mustang to fix up with my wife!
-
Re: any car guys here?
turbo 350 is a transmission. nothing wrong with a v6. thats a nice mustang you have. there's a ton of aftermarket support for those cars. your dad and i are not as lucky.LOL

I'm not a 'car guy' or a car gal, but I've had to deal with not being able to park in my own garage so I'll join in :P
This is the only picture I can find, it has to be from at least 5 years ago, I think it was before we met. This is my fiance's '72 Monte Carlo. It's all original, and runs fine. He put a slip kit in it because it's an automatic and I told him he could not make it manual because everything on it is original. That's right guys, when you get a serious girl in your life she'll even tell you how to work on your car  It's a fun old car, but I think it's terrifying to drive. That front end is ridiculous! He wants to get a 'cooler' car, but I really like this car and he's had it since he was 15 so it will be awhile till he can get a different old car.
http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t...59913_3772.jpg
This is his other fun project. He had already chopped the back end and changed the lights in this picture.

http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t...09461_8643.jpg
I personally liked it better before :P I couldn't tell you what the heck he's done with this thing. I know there was a jet something put in, a 4 to 1 or maybe 4 to 2 muffler system something or other (you guys probably know better than me just looking at the picture, lol). A new K&N muffler? K&N sounds familiar, or maybe that's what he wanted....it's terribly loud whatever it is. He wants to put one on my little 250 Ninja  And he wants a new bike  Boys....

Good Old Muscle:
79' Blazer 2wd-350 .030 over (355cid)-edelbrock rpm heads-air gap intake-tuned and jetted 600cfm edelbrock. Original dyno @ 428h/476ft. Now getting freshened up after 6yrs and 280k miles:O
Need to Go Fast:
2000 Suzuki SV650, jetted (stage 2), slip-on, 520 conversion, -1 front +2 rear sprockets
In my soul:
1989 Harley FXRT stripped, need to go through the motor, but still one hell of a bar hopper
Tuner Import: (Wife's claim to fame:rolleyes:)
2010 Scion XD so-far only stainless TRD cat-back, working on saving up for the cold air and re-flash from TRD
Current Driver: (till motor is done in BLazer)
1989 Toyota pickup, future plans would be exhaust, header, and clutch. 22RE doesnt need much more than that LOL

Means the car was made in recent years. Someone Put the car together either him or someone else. It was just made to look like an original but its not. Beautiful car either way.

Re: any car guys here?
I've always been a huge car nut. My daily driver is an 07 g35x. It's definitely a fun little car but my car I'm saving up for is a 2011 GT500. Won't be able to afford it for a few more years, but that's fine. Half the fun is fantasizing about her.

Well, as long as we're fantasizing, I really want one of these:
Porsche 959
but I'll never be able to find an owner willing to sell (<300 made, not originally legal in USA), let alone afford the asking price if I did, so for now I just dream about fun mods for my real car, one of these:
'02 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro
I'd like to do some mild power upgrades and bigger brakes (I guess B5 S4 brakes fit under the stock wheels and are a pretty good upgrade in braking power), plus of course I "need" a boost gauge and a proper interface for my iPod. :)

Here I am.
I roll around with a 2006 Eclipse GT with I/E pushing around around 250 whp not much for now but a college kid has to get from point A to B
Project outta of college is:
1995 Dodge Stealth / 1997 - 1999 3000GT AWD TT
3.7L stroker
TD05 TT setup
500 awhp, I think I can live with that.

It means its a kit car, doner car was a 74 datsun 260z. I can't afford the 14 million dollars a real one would cost me. lol I herd a rumor that one was sold for over 20 mil but i havn't seen any true literature on it, but alot of big money cars are hush hush so yea.
but yea my car is hardly a datsun anymore, just the interior, got a small block chevy in it, not a built motor tho. plan on building an E85 motor in a year or 2. whole body is fiberglass, cept the roof and the hatch. car been a high school project for me, tho I never got it on the road during high school lol, finally got it on the road about 4 years ago, been fun.

70mph and wet roads with Drag radials and lots of Camber = this. That car was a lot of fun. Full Dinan Exhaust, intake and a TON of suspension mods...
Before that was my 97 Corolla because I received 3 tickets in 9 months with my 91 Eagle Talon Turbo before that. Before that care I had a 95 Eclipse RS.
I've had a lot of cars over the few years I've been driving. I'm 24 and hope to keep this SRT-4 for a while now.
Sorry for the really long post. LOL

Too bad about the Bimmer - looks like it was a sweet car. (Normally I don't really go for the look, but for some reason blacked-out is really cool on that car.) Dare I ask why you were doing 70 in the rain on drag tires?

Partly the reason why I got out of sports cars for now. I was constantly getting pulled over. Alot of it was because the officer just wanted to check out my rides and see what I had done... (The Cobra atleast once a week) and tell me about there cars and blah blah blah. Also would get pulled over for noise and tint:rage:
I hope we get some big snows this winter so I can go out and play in "Monster Dodge" heh:cool:

okay i didn't wanna show up all of you guys but ladies try to contain yourselves! this is my ride!

Driving down I75 in Florida (Lived in Ft. Myers at the time) and just a normal Sun-shower type deal. Usually just some light rain, and not a big deal, but there was a nice sized puddle of standing water on the highway I didn't see until too late. The car hydroplaned and I held it pretty good until the highway took a bit of a curve. Overcorrected and the car snapped back to the left, spun backwards, and ended up in the 15foot ditch you see there.
What I didn't know is that the little off-road excursion broke all the motor and tranny mounts, broke the steering shaft, and a few other things. The body of the car was a mess. I ended up selling it for DIRT cheap.
Oh well, I'm lucky to be alive and glad the car didn't roll or worse. The absolute scariest part was that the car did the same thing two weeks prior on a road by my house. Fortunately I was only doing 35mph and the car ended up between two trees. Both times that the car spun, no one stopped to help me. It was pretty scary being on the highway and flagging anyone for help while waiting for the police and medics to come, and no one stopped....

Yikes, that sounds pretty scary. I guess the only real lesson to take from it is to leave the drag tires at the strip then, unless you live somewhere where it never rains.
I totally hear you on no one helping though; when I was 16, I was a passenger in a friend's car on a rural gravel road at night when he rolled it. He hit a big bump and a pile of loose gravel that a road grader had left at an intersection at the same time, the car got loose, and he couldn't hold it, which meant we went into the steep ditch sideways. The car slid on its roof in the bottom of the ditch for probably 100 yards.
We were walking down the road stopping at farm houses for quite a ways before anyone would help us. First house we stopped at had lights and the TV on, and the dog was friendly, but no one would come to the door. The walking was no big deal, but it sure would have sucked if it had been a situation where one of us was injured and the other had to go for help. (This was in the early to mid '90s, before cell phones were common teenager accessories.)
Heh, my parents always made me wear my seat belt, but there's nothing like hanging from one to confirm the importance of their insistence...

Sweet ride!! :D
I had a '02 GTI until some dumb chick ran a stop sign and it got totaled. Replaced it with a '03 GTI!! I liked the 20th edition, but wanted leather, heated seats, etc. Plus the dealer was charging too big of a premium for not that much more care IMO.
I originally had big plans for mine. I had it APR'd, techtonics exhaust, H&R cup-kit on it, Injen CAI, and was going to put a big turbo on it. But school got too expensive and ended up selling everything and going back to stock. Kept the CAI though, just sounded too cool to give up.
Now that I've graduated, I keep thinking of maybe getting her chipped again, though with 100K miles now, not sure if its worth it.

Nice ride
I have a 05 civic sedan and im putting a kseries swap in it. I just have suspension setup on it.
