    My wife finally picked one.............
Went today and picked up this little spider.........http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h1...l/P1020542.jpg

This was the one I asked about last night. Though I only got 2 responses on an idea for a price, I did check some of the breeders sites to get a better idea.
My wife wanted to see him in person and didn't hesitate when she saw him she wanted him. He is a little brighter than in the pictures and has a little orange on his sides (I think it's called flames?).
Well she wanted him so I couldn't haggle on the $250 the guy was asking.

    He also came with.........

50 gal reptile cage, heat mat, water bowl, hide, and a cheap thermostat.

Well that led to a trip to home-depot and lowes to find something so we could make everyone fit in out house........

The shelving unit is a 5 shelf, 6 foot high, 24 inch deep, and 4 foot wide. We made it into 2 separate units to hold all 4 tanks that we have right now.

His name is now "Butterball" and he is 240g born 7/2010
:O:O This guy even had vet records from where he takes all his snakes for check-ups JUST BECAUSE :O:O

I think I got a decent deal, PLUS the wife is happy and has her own ball to play with:gj:

Feeding log even matches my same 5 day schedule:confused::D So I am sure this guy was meant for her LOL

PS, yes that thermometer shows 105 but Butterball was not in there, he is in another tank in another room for a couple of weeks just to protect mine. I am not too worried about him because of the way this guy took care of his snakes, but you can never be too careful.;)

He is going to be going into the 20 long that our King is in and Nibbles is getting his 50gal so she can stretch out.

Forgot to mention, the shelving rack was miss marked at Lowes. Should have been like $80 but had a sign for $49.00 from an old sale. They gave it to us at marked price.
It has been a good day, we dont have two nickles to rub together now but still a good day:D

I found males any where from $175.00 to $400.00, so even being a newb I thought I was looking at a good deal. BUT when my wife said "I want him NOW", I knew it was a happy deal:D

Now I need either a pastel or spider FEMALE, man I know its gonna cost me:O

Looks like the snake is around 250-300 grams. So considering it's a male with a 50 gallon tank and everything, that's a fair deal. Great looking spider, the one i used to own also had a good amount of gold on his underside, it was really cool.

Also if the wife is happy, everyone is happy right???......
