2 'rescue' balls
Well they need some work but besides lots of stuck shed and having me worried they might have the beginning of RI they look amazing. Nice and big. Only problem is my dad didn't have the cash to get them so I spent a good part of my cash I had from my paycheck to get them (but he is going to pay me back).
The bigger one is probably 3-4 feet long and the smaller on I'm guessing 2 1/2 feet. Gave them both good long soaks last night and got most of the shed off except what is on their heads and upper necks, pretty sure they have retained eye caps as well >.< so I will have to wait and see if they come off with next shed. As soon as my dad pays me back I'm getting them new hides, and as soon as I possible can I will be getting one of my extra tanks out of storage to have separate housing for them. For now they are in storage boxes in the bathroom (warmest place in the house and high humidity).
I talked to my dad and he agreed to buy me $100 worth of reptile supplies xD Petmoutain.com here I come!
Pictures will be posted some time :]

Re: 2 'rescue' balls
I know I'm supposed to wait a week or two before I feed them but I offered them both food and they both took f/t!
I only offered because the guy I got them from said they hadn't ate in around 2 weeks.
Though next time I'm getting the smaller of the 2 a smaller rat.
So cage has been scrubbed clean, new bedding put in, sides and back blocked off with cardboard, and just need to get an UTH for it and for the other tank. Oh and the 2 half logs that came with it were scrubbed and baked (these are temp.)
Going to the $store to see what they have I can use as hides and maybe decor :]

Good luck with them and share pics!

If you dont put them on heat asap, theyre possible RI may become worse

UTH's are actually getting bought tonight. Talked to my dad and told him I can't wait for those. I have a thermostat luckily. That reminded me I need more digital thermometers and hygrometers. To the store!

Ahh!
I hate when problems arise. Couldn't get into the garage at our other house. Mom couldn't find the key and my mom's cousin that is living there wasn't home and couldn't get a hold of him. I guess I'll have to wait till Sat. when I work to get the other tank. It's an hour round trip from this house to that one and my truck is out of commission (something when BANG in it when my mom was driving it home).
So would it be okay for the time being to have the 2 in the same tank (3 days, maybe)? They were kept in the same tank before. I know it can cause stress but I want them to get the heat and humidity they need until I can get my other tank.

Only pic I have so far.
That's the larger of the 2, would she be fine in a 30 long? I do have a 40 breeder but that looks like it could be too big...
And on another note...
Dang I need to get a new scale, she is heavy! I really hope she is a she xD Anyone in the Council Bluffs/Omaha area willing to probe them? I'm guessing she is too big to pop and I'm not sure about the smaller one but I'm not about to try and learn on my own xP
Edit: and at the biggest part of her she is at least 6-7 inches around.

Re: 2 'rescue' balls
Good luck with the pair. The one looks like it was at least well feed.

Thanks for sharing and a BIG thanks for rescuing them! I'm a member of the PNWHS and am getting my first foster tomorrow! I'm so excited.....pics of Indiana will be up ASAP! Once again THANK YOU!

For now, keeping them in one cage with heat is healthiest if they are sick. Get them separate cages as soon as possible! I had my rescues that had lived together sharing a cage for a while and split them up a week or two later. They were ok, but I also got them very healthy.

What makes you think they might have an RI? You would be in for some vet bills if they end up having one. The fact that they ate means they most likely don't, so I doubt you really need to worry about that. If one did housing them together would probably mean both of them would have one as they can transfer easily. Besides that though housing them together for jsut a couple days shouldn't be a problem but you should seperate them ASAP.
I don't know what the dimentions are for the 30long but the 40 breeder would be a good size tank for the bigger one. It has a little more height then needed but has a good amount of floor space for a snake that big.
Keeping them in the bathroom is a bad idea. Especially if they have a chance of having an RI. Balls need moderae humidity. Most place just normal room humidity is good enough (but you would need to bump it up during shedding) unless you live in a drier climate. A bathroom can have way too high humidity for them. Too high humidity can cause an RI even if they don't have one yet.

Re: 2 'rescue' balls
I actually moved them into a room last Thursday so they are no longer in the bathroom.
I think they may have an RI because they both make whistling sounds when they breath but the larger one's is much more noticeable. I am going to take both to the vet to get checked out so we'll see what the vet says.
The tank they are in now is 3ft long, 1 foot deep and like 16 in. high. I have a shoebox over the UTH that they both stay in. Keeping the temp at about 93*
I ordered a UTH off www.petmountain.com since it is $17 cheaper than the pet stores. Also got more aspen bedding, a screen top, and some organic terrarium cleaner. So when that gets here I'll be setting up the other tank for one of the rescues.

If you are unsure if they have an RI or not it is good to get them checked out. If there isn't any bubble or mucus at all and the fact aht they are eatting I really doubt that they have one. The whistling sound can sometimes be a sign of an oncoming RI. SOmetimes it can just be some loose skin from an oncoming shed or a bad shed. I actually have a JCP that has always had a whislte sound when it breaths. I thought it was an RI as well but he is in perfect health. Just has a whistle.

YO should post some photos of your BLue beaty. THose are amazing looking snakes.

I have a few pics of my Blue Beauty around here in the Ratsnakes section.
I am still worried about RI (mostly because both ball pythons are making the sounds) but I have watched them and they act normally (as normal as I can tell at least) and I have looked into both of their mouths and it looks fine, no mucus or bubbles. Though they both had bad stuck shed. I actually got the last of it off tonight. And I need to decied if I want to feed them tomorrow (it will have been 7 days) or wait a few more. I thought the smaller one could handle a medium rat but it seemed too big for him but he ate it. Still has a bit of a belly bump from it. I can tell the bigger one is hungry by the way she acts when her cage is opened lol.

It's probably just stuck shed, or they could be "whistlers" - like the other poster said, I have one or two snakes that always whistle despite perfect health & good sheds! But the fact that both of your snakes had bad sheds, I would blame that for the whistling first... of course, still keep an eye on them to rule out RIs. They are both very pretty, and the bigger one is a fatty! :D
