Remember that small Blackback?..

...which was purchased as a "male" at 600 grams over the summer?

Well holy cow this girl is now not far from 2000 grams! She is still eating like a champ and locking with the boys now.

I almost sold her but now I'm excited to prove her out as either a genetic blackback or possibly a het red.

Only time will tell! She still has all her her awesome color with the bright highlights along her sides. I'm excited to see what comes out of this girl :)

Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I've personally never seen such a great representation of a blackback that wasn't genetic, so wish me luck! She has been locking with a leucy and a cinnamon this season.

The Leucistic is a Lesser x Russo. I've already produced Russos and Lessers by him last year. I can pick out a Russo no problem but I'm wondering what a Russo/Cinny would look like... Hmmmmm..

I do hope the cinny takes though. Id love some nice high contrast blackback cinnys. If by some miracle she's a het red, gargoyles would just floor me!

My cinnys put out some amazing babies anyway so I'm sure whatever comes from this girl will be nice :)

Hope it works out. I hatched a Blackback a few months ago. I am hoping its genetic too. Ill be waiting for a while though. She's only 145 grams.
