what do yall think?

So a buddy of mine bought a whole clutch that was a smoking looking pastel to a normal but two of these popped out of the eggs. According to the guy he bought the clutch from the female was never bred before.

I will see if my buddy sends me a pic of the parents. I have seen the parents and the sire is a hot looking pastel that was bought from Outbacks reptiles and mom looks as normal as normal can be. I thought pewter when i saw them but the guy my buddy got them from only has 2 bps and those are the parents. My buddy got one heck of a deal for the clutch. The male will be bred to a female cinny next season and then back to his sister the following season.

is there a way of telling if its a black pewter or cinni pewter?

I agree on the pewter-look of the baby. It'd be my guess that the dam is a very low-grade cinny or black pastel. Would definitely love to see pictures of her...both parents, really, but her in particular.

Mom may have been a dark cinny that someone thought it was normal! I see cinny in there! It could also just be a dirty pastel which may come out after a couple sheds! I would really like to see pics of mom too!!!

Ya looks like a pewter to me as well. Not a bad deal if it is cuz the clutch was sold as a pastel to normal! I would love to buy a clutch like that for the price of pastels. Lol

The lil fella looks pewter to me. But I have one question to others who answered black pewter, how can you distiniguish a cinny pewter to a black pewter?

Perhaps mom isn't a cinnamon but is a new gene on her own that throws cinny-looking offspring. You never know.
