    Odd Question?
Don't know if this is the area to post this?
Is there anyone on this board in the San Antonio area?
Just looking for someone that is local to just talk to and show off our snakes?
The wife and I are new to snakes and it would be nice to have someone here in town just to shoot the BS about balls.
Would love to see snakes in person and maybe be able to do some trading in future.

Sound like a person dating ad LOL

I've moved this thread to the Off Topic forum. I don't mind folks posting local-related stuff outside the regional forums...but let's keep them in Off Topic, since it's not specifically about ball pythons or another specific species.

Anyhow...I have lived many years in San Antonio and still own a house there...but am currently living in Colorado. There's a very good chance we'll be back in San Antonio in coming years...but not really sure when. While there, I never knew anyone directly local who was on BP.net...but would meet up with lots of folks from all over the state at the shows in Austin and D/FW. Houston has some shows, too, but I never made it to one of those personally.

Excuse e muah! Like PitontheProwl, I have recently recieved my first BP and I love them! My question for you is if there are some sites that list snake shows or expos (dont know exactly what to call them)? I'm looking to see if there are some in Southern Cali :)

Would like to find someone with morphs to look at and handle. To be honest, in some of the posted picks I cannot tell the difference between some of them and look 100% different in person.
I took my son to the reptile show last month and we only spent about an hour or so looking around. I was shocked at how small it was! There were some good looking animals there but I was expecting more breeders.

That is also where I saw my first pied and want one even more now!

The San Antonio show is very tiny. Austin is better...and there's an NARBC show in Arlington...I think it's in February. I'll have to look up that date. That show is GREAT. Well worth the drive up, even if you have to stay in a hotel for the weekend. (I've got family there, so didn't mess with hotels that time)

You can usually handle the morphs at a show...that's where I got a lot of my first hands-on experience. I agree that it does take some real hands-on to learn how to identify the more subtle morphs. I'm still very iffy on things like fires and vanillas because I haven't gotten to actually play with those myself.
