What results were you expecting with a mouse trap?

You could make him a latex suit, complete with multitudes of zippers and call the MouseGeek, or just put him down.

He may recover, but he may not.

How much time do you really want to spend nursing it? If it's a feeder, feed it off.

Unless you put out rodent poison. In that case, just put it down and throw it out.

That little mouse cheated death. I guess he does deserve a chance to live.

Im not really sure how wild mice do in captivity.

Hmmmm I'm pretty sure if it's a wild rodent (didn't come from the pet store) you should just throw it away. You really don't want to be giving any of your snake's a wild rodent as the rodent can be carrying parasites and other nasty stuff.

I am not giving it to my snake... I am gonna heal it up then release it out side:gj:

You aimed to kill it, now you're nursing it back to health and releasing it?

Snap it's neck already! Would YOU want to even be awake if your HIP was broken?

yea snap and toss. theres more than enough wild rodents already, besides, who knows how many parasites that thing might have, and it prolly has a very very very nasty temperment

OP, I doubt you'll 'feel' good about whichever choice you make.

Kill the poor thing and be done with it.

As a nurse, I see people with broken hips/legs alot........the pain is terrible, but at least they get drugs. Do the humane thing and put it out of it's misery.

The trap is put in place to kill the thing and now you feel bad because the trap didnt do the job?? Really? Just kill the mouse. That was the intent in the first place, right?

I think you should kill it and leave it impaled on a spiked pole as a warning to all the other mice.:rolleye2:

The mouse is going to die. Unless that is you want to pay thousands into a specialized vet. My best advice - Snake Food. It's much better than letting it rot!

Even if it "heals" it won't have the advantage it used to, it won't be able to get into most places that put it in the position to find food. The bone will be out of place without proper placement and I'm sure the bone has shattered considering you used a mouse trap; which practically means the leg will never heal. If you release the mouse it will die within the week. If you keep it, it will be in complete agony the rest of it's short life. Feed it or knead it.
