Whatever morph that may or may not be, that is one BEAUTIFUL snake !!! Absolutely love it. Gorgeous contrast, color and pattern.
I would be more concerned about health and such...make sure you quarantine. Price is absolutely right, even for a pretty and established "normal" female. Go see her in person, make sure she is healthy and looks as well as in the picture.
-
Yeah the price isn't too high and that is one heck of a beautiful animal. But make sure that it's a female by either popping or probing it, that is if you can do it. Could be a vanilla, or a very good looking normal, depends on if you feel it's worth the money or not.

You can contact Maki http://www.pacificcoastreptiles.com/ she may be able to help you out

I don't know enough about Vanillas to judge but here is a pic of one:

They are described as having light colors and a faded head!

yea it could very well be a vanilla. Looks real light. How big is the snake would you say? The price throws me off thow. He is claiming its a vanilla female, yet females go for around 300 350. Its odd I would theroughly inspect that snake before considering it.

Thats true, different snakes !!! The first one only has one connecting band across its back, the second one hs at least 2. And they don't match !!
Not cool !

Could be a Vanilla or possibly as Super.
Ask for better pictures and of course you need a really good head shot.

no not "also being sold" as a fire, the craigslist scamer STOLE the picture. I am not AT ALL saying that the fauna classifieds ad is not legit...don't put words in my mouth....

Re: Should I Get It?
I would say look at a different snake.
-
Re: Should I Get It?
Smells like BS...
You could always go see it in person and make a decision then?
-
If one picture is stolen, the other might be as well.
If a seller can't be trusted to send simple photos of a snake he/she is selling, they cannot be trusted at all!
I say pass on this deal altogether, goodness knows what you might be getting into.

But they can go pick up the snake. It's available in the same city. What harm would it be to go look at the snake and if it is the same, then buy it. If not, walk away!

I agree check it out in person and make the decision.

Re: Should I Get It?
In person or not, if someone couldn't be honest with me enough to send me legit pics, I'm afraid I couldn't trust them to sell me a healthy animal either. :colbert: Even if the snake appears healthy in person, that's not to say the owner has even been taking proper care of it (if they even have it). I will not buy from someone I cannot trust, regardless of how good the deal is. The "good deal" could bring something into my collection, regardless of quarantine, and to me there's no deal worth the health of my entire collection.

Re: Should I Get It?
Nowhere in the posts did the OP say he got the second picture from the seller. So I don't know exactly where the second picture came from. Maybe the OP found the second picture on the net and wanted us to compare the 2 snakes.

Re: Should I Get It?
I agree if the pic the op posted came fro mthe same person and they claim same snake run away they don't know snakes from dog crap in the pack yard. I was comaprin the pics as I read post and seen they didn't match.
I also agree look at the snakes ( don't take any money with you in ) if you think it worth l buying tell them will be back got to go to the atm ( alone ) to pull funds out. I never meet a person from Craigslist or anyone contacting me about snakes , alone now if i meet a person alone it is in a public place and I do it were I know there are cameras from the store(s). it called cover your butt every way can.

then later on why me looking in craigslist i saw a ad and it had the same thing and same pics i put here.
and i saw the ad right now and now the fee is 60

Re: Should I Get It?
I check Craigslist a lot, just to see what sort of snakes are available. As with anything from Craigslist, its going to be hit and miss, especially with a live animal. I adopted a perfect male ball from Craigslist, and couldn't be happier. Sadly, this won't always be the case. I've seen people putting up snakes for adoption that are kept two to a tank, as if they think this is normal and acceptable. It takes everything in my power not to yell and scream at them in responses.
