Dragon Fly

I was just skimming through the world of balls sight looking for something new to add to a pinstripe project when I came across the dragon fly. It says I was just produced by Bob Clark this year and it is one of the coolest pin combos I have ever seen. Is anyone else out there working on this? Anybody have any more photos of this combo? I have recently taken a shine to fires and now that I’ve seen what they do when added to a blast I think I’ll need to make some room for a couple in the rack.

Got to see that snake at the NARBC show in Houston. All I can say is WOW!

I am currently working on this project. I did this pairring last year and believe I hit at least 1 if not 2 of them. I had originally called them fire blasts as I had been unable to find anyone else who had done this combo. Since then I found out that bob had also done this and named them dragon fly. My hatchlings look like his at hatching but have sinced colored up and I am trying to get updated pictures to compare. The only other person I know of is Brian at BHB that hatched one.

you wouldnt rather have a spinner? i mean i love pins i have one and not a spinner yet but i totaly am aiming for spinner....pins are awsome looking thow!

I am still undecided if what I have are infact Dragon fly's or some of the best lemon blasts ever... lol Here is why..

When they had hatched I had sent pics to some well known breeder's for their opinions and the majority thought that they were infact Fire/Pastel/Pins... Now here are some updated pics after 2 sheds...

Now compaired to the same lemon blast now...(top left lemon blast, top right fem poss dragon fly, bottom poss male dragon fly)

So this is where I stand right now. I know that there is a certain amount of polly morphism between different animals but still expected them too be uniformily lighter... I will just have to wait and see how they progress after a few more sheds and put some weight on. I will hold them back and plan to breed the male next season back to the mother and see for sure what they are. I am going to try the same pairring again this season and see what I get. I welcome all comments and opinions... What DoYou Think...???

1. I think that either way you are one lucky sob lol.

And I agree that those 2 either have some fire in em or they are just breathtaking blasts. I’m curious, is the mother of the clutch a fire or blast. If she’s a fire then some black eyed lucy’s would be a nice way to prove that babies have some fire in em. And if that’s the case please refer back to line 1 of my message lol. Please keep us updated, I for one would love to see how those little worms progress. And would guess if there I fire there that it will become more obvious as they grow. Thanks for the pics:)

Yeah mom was a fire and dad was a lemon blast. Yeah I will be putting the male back with he mom next year. I think there hot either way and they appear to get brighter after each shed so time will tell...
