Re: im SO nervous
As long as they were properly packaged with heat packs, they should be ok. Just make sure you have the enclosures ready, and have a camera handy to document the opening of the packages. And, make sure you notify the seller via e-mail as soon as possible of the arrival, whether good or bad. Good Luck...

Re: im SO nervous
If they're already on the truck, then there's not much you can do but wait. As already said, if they were packed properly, they should be fine. If you'd like to share who shipped them, we might be able to reassure you about their packing skills if we know them.
IF they should come out of the box super cold....then do NOT drop them into very warm enclosures. They need to warm up gradually. Going from very cold to very warm too quickly can shock their systems and cause serious complications. (And I WISH I could remember my source for this info...it's something the Barkers wrote, I'm almost certain, but I can't link to it...I'm sorry.)
And I agree wholeheartedly...have a camera (or cell phone, at least) ready to take pics of the box before and during the opening, and lots of pics of the snakes. Not just to share the beauty, but to document any issues that MIGHT arise due to this unfortunate circumstance.
But most likely, they'll be fine.

coming from tim bailey so i very sure they will be packed right.. just makes me worry that here it is 3:50pm ive been waiting all day .. and they say delivery by 4:30 pm ggrrrrrr!!!!
-
I can tell you that coming from Tim, they will be just fine. Tim takes great pride in his ability to ship snakes, I know he's told me he uses thicker insulation in the boxes than most. You needent worry.. They'll be just fine..you just watch..

Re: im SO nervous
Aahhhh...I agree with Ed...no worries at all. They'd have to run over that box with a truck to hurt those snakes. Of course, I can understand the anxiety of having to wait...but at least you know the packing is all good. :gj:

Re: im SO nervous
hey dont worry, i was living in el paso when i ordered a pastel from garrick at royal constrictor designs, and the "Sun City" got to below freezing and a blizzard out of nowhere and my lil guy showed up just fine. a lil bit on the cool side but he has been perfectly healthy since day one. they can take a lot more than people give them credit for. let us know how it goes, post pics too

As I understand it, they keep delivering until the truck is empty. If the driver runs late, then he works late.

Re: im SO nervous
Ah, Tim Bailey! In my opinion he has the best packing...period. I wouldn't worry at all. Although, when Tim shipped my Hypo male the FedEx overnight shipping he used was suppose to arrive no later than 10:30am, and mine came at 10:00 on the dot. Why's yours coming so late?
-
thanks all.. i did call tim and hes all over it.. if they are late they are late. ill still be here waiting.i will say tim is all about customer service. hes taken very good care of this customer..now lets see what he sent me . D#$%^ fedex!

Judy,
Not necessarily true. The FedEx Express trucks have to be back at their hub by closing, which is 7pm to 7:30 in most cases. The FedEx Ground truck drivers deliver until empty. So, if they are not out by the time he has to get his truck back, they will return to the hub and try again the next day. That is the inherent problem with Express shipping.

Cody,
Depending on your area, and how rural you are, or how far the hub is from your delivery location, some Priority Overnight packages are guaranteed by 10:30am, 12:30 pm or 4:30 pm. Matt was rural, per the FedEx maps, and therefore, not guaranteed until 4:30.
P.S. Matt got his snakes, and they are fine. They were delivered at 5:13 pm. The flight out of Ft. Worth, TX was a bit late, causing some backup in delivery times.
Also, thanks for everyone that complimented my packaging, and reassured MAtt.
