    Axanthic Mojave Surprise...
We picked out a baby ball years ago because she was different looking, she just really stood out from the other 500 African Imports.
We grew her up and bred her with our Mojave. They produced 5 eggs, they were all Mojaves, but one male looked similar to the mom as a baby. We grew him up and did some line breeding and produced what appears to be 2 axanthic Mojaves, 2 BEL, and one normal mojave.

Still have to prove things out they just hatched today.

Gotta Love African Babies and Line Breeding..

That's pretty cool, I'm interested in seeing it after a couple of sheds. Sometimes it's not so much that they're axanthic as they're "faded" in color. In recent years you see it most often with Albinos, they look almost like snows until after a couple of meals/sheds and they color up quite a bit but still not quite as bright. Red "Axanthics" do something similar.

Regardless though it's definitely a awesome animal and it's always nice to see a surprise like that!

    Wow! Congrats!

Crazy odds if they are Axanthic Mojaves! The mom must be het, so that means the one you chose to grow up from the first clutch which had a %50 chance to be het, turned out to be het! And out off all the ones you chose to grow up, you chose him. I don't know, but thinking about that amazes me =D

Congrats again and I really hope it proves out for you!
