So today I drove all the way to Anaheim to pick up four snakes a 2006 normal female a 2009 normal female a 2009 100% het pied male and a very grumpy 2006 male pastel. well I've finally gotten them all situated now and I shall take pictures of them all tomorrow but they have me kinda worried the 06 female only weighs 800g the 09 female is a whopping 58 and the het pied is only 83. I found out they were only fed once a month and they all were living in the same cage when I picked them up. the ones I've weighed are all sweethearts but in mid shed and they weren't in a tank that was humid enough for them. as for the pastel I can't touch him or move him with out him hissing at me so I'm gonna let him be ... But on the bright side I got them all for dirt cheap and I plan to have them back in decent shape soon and I'll post pics when theyre all settled in!

Wow they're all so small! Doesn't it suck when you are expecting a halfway well taken care of snake and it turns out they aren't in such great condition after all?

they are really happy to be in their own enclosures right now i just went through all their feeding longs and their sometimes would be nothing fed to them for a few months at a time or they'd go from a large rat to a hopper mouse :/ i really don't get it

58 grams for an 09. Yikes. I have my normal that we hatched on 7/31/2010 who refused meals (we had a very few successful attempts at assist feeding) until last week when he finally struck and coiled... and he's 65grams worrying me to death...

Yeah, it's weird that the previous owner knows what a het pied and a pastel is (both cost a pretty penny), yet doesn't know how to feed them properly. Especially since, from the look of things (keeping records and such), they have intention of breeding possibly for profit? Well, I really don't know. I don't keep records - but that's because I never thought I'd need it. The vet doesn't ask for it when we go to have them checked out. I always considered records as something you need to keep if you intend to sell/trade your snake.

Well, the good news is that they're not too thin... surprisingly. They are obviously small, but somehow seem to have kept a decent girth - so I bet you'll get them to a good size in no time. Congrats, and thanks for saving them!!

My 2010 is actually weighs more than them its strange but they all seem content. I'm gonna go pick up some mice today and see if they're up to eating so soon they were last fed a month ago

So I just fed them all 1 adult mouse to see if they'd take it and they all did! So at least I know they aren't starving right now and I'm gonna see if they'll accept small rats next feeding :)

    SWEET!

Yeah. Put some weight on them babies! Hope you didn't have any other snakes in your quarantine... I'm being very negative, I know... but I can't shake the feeling that there's gotta be something off about those guys...

They should gain weight fast. I picked up a 07 normal from craigslist and it weighed 280g back in June. I weighed it yesterday at 1180g. Puts away a medium rat or multiple smalls each week.
