Best Petstore Find EVER!

I have no use for him but when I went into the local petstore for a feeder rat, I just had to walk out with this "odd looking BP". :D The price was VERY good. :rofl:

I cannot believe someone just dropped this guy off and didn't want him anymore and the store wasn't interested in keeping it. :O

I'm afraid to ask how much they sold him for. But if you discover you have no use for him either, I've been dying for an excuse to get me a nice, um, odd-looking ball python.

Well it looks like you might just have a new morph there :P You're going to have to breed it a few times just to be sure...

On a more serious note, what kind of python is that?

They're still pretty rare in the states, and usually not cheap. Like $2k.

Wow, looks like it's under $2k for a pair all of a sudden. Still can't afford 'em, tho.

I hope he isn't stolen though. I'd check local reptile forums and classified ads. Heck, maybe even the police. If mine was stolen, I'd definitely make a police report.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm extremely JEALOUS!! Though, last year at the Phoenix show I saw some babies selling for $300 :P. Still man, good luck with that Angolan python! I would really love to have one in my collection some day:).

You would be surprised Ed. There was guy out here in GA who bought a Pinstripe when they were like $2K. He ended up being shipped to Iraq and asked his brother to sell the snake for him since he no longer could be there to work with it. His brother posted it on Craigslist and sold it for $300!!!

I also used to go to a Exotics Pet Store that carried a wide variety of exotic reptiles and what have you, and 1 day they arrived at the shop with 3 GTPs, 1 Adult Panther Chameleon, and some other animals (all valued over $500) with a note that said "I can no longer take care of these, I am an "butthead" for buying them in the 1st place, please take care of them and find them good homes".

The shop tried to find out who it was to no avail. So although rare, this kind of stuff does happen...

That said, I'm totally jealous.

Foof! Their bad, sweet find. I'd have walked out with him/her in a heartbeat. Once acclimated and feeding, check the stool and then go get a mate!!! Good luck. :banana:

BTW Angolans are 1500 a pair now and you can actually find single females for 800 on kingsnake... I would be concerned if the snake has parasites or other health problems you cant see, Anyhow great pick up.

For some reason people keep saying that to me. LOL.

I may just end up keeping him. I have a few single species animals here. I could always use this one as the garbage disposal for when the BP's refuse food. :D
