I don't have to take it for walks.
I don't have to play with it when its bored.
I don't have to keep my house clean so it doesn't chew my things.
I don't have to buy it a friend.
I don't have to buy a $90 bag of food each month.

I get to scare my mother.
    I get to enjoy a noise-free pet.
I get to deal with it on my own time.

    :D I love my BPs!

They only poop every 2 weeks to a month. How awesome is that?
And once you get them in a proper habitat they are very low maintenance.

I love how they slither across the floor. I sometimes try to imagine my self trying to get around with no arms & legs so (weird, I no).

I don't need a pet sitter when I have to go out of town :)

Re: Why Snakes Make Awesome Pets
They dont bark at the doorbell
They dont bark at the neighbor snakes
They dont dig holes in my backyard
They dont have a smelly box i have to empty weekly
They dont beg at the table for scraps
They keep ppl i dont like away from my house...relatives
They are something me and my fiance enjoy

They dont pee on everything (although the big normal girl loves to take nice big turds in the corner of her cage where the newspaper cant do its job and when i try to get the newspaper up on the sides she just flattens it all out

They are fun to just relax with
They have personalities.......yes dogs and cats do too but for example my Spider Girl absolutely hates when i pick her up she hisses like crazy but once i have her in my hands she is a doll... minus the occasional snappiness

They are beautiful creatures i dont care if they did get cursed by god i think it just made them that much cooler plus could u imagine a 20 foot Retic with legs come on

They don't shed.. well they do, its just not 938472934729 billion tiny little annoying hairs.
    They don't smell,
    They don't make obnoxious noise,
    They give nice neck massages,
    They're low maintenance.
I could go on and on..

They only have to eat once a week and they don't demand my attention!

I like the way they feel.

I can't remember the last time someone asked to crash on my couch.

My mother in law has not "graced my door step" in 4 years .

    They look like art work.

I can have 200 eating, breeding, pooing and/or hatching in my home and if you did come to visit you would never know.

My 2 dogs and 1 cat are WAY messier than my ~ 200 ball pythons.

Because of breeding ball pythons my daughter was the only 3rd grader in her school to be able to draw, use and explain not only what a punnet square is but basic medelian genetics.

Those are just a few of the top of my head.

    GREAT answers.

    Mine are...

They don't crap or pee in your house.
    They don't smell.
    They don't make noise.
They are easy to take care of (if you know how.)
You don't have to walk them.
    They require ZERO attention.
You feed them once a week.
Illnesses are relativly easy to care for.
They keep people you don't like away from your house.
They don't rip open the trash abg while your gone.
They don't beg for food at the table.
They don't have a big box full of crap t clean out daily...

    ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC

    They eat once a week!
You can be the life of the party when you show them around.
    Interesting.
    Low maintenance.
