    New pair of Rats
Seen these at work today and had to have them.

Look like long hairs to me. Picked up the only 1.1 of them in litter.

Crinkled whiskers is Velveteen, curly whiskers are Rex :)

Yeah the whiskers didn't look curly enough to be Rex, so yeah they must be Velveteen. Although with as straight as those whiskers are, they could be long hair.

Has to be a Rex due to full body wavy/curly hair.

Whiskers are not straight at all. They curl forwards

    They look just like this.

Is there anything special about them other than the coat. They were brought in for new blood.

Nothing special, it's co-dom the super form is a double rex/velveteen called patchwork.

This is my double rex dwarf male shortly after he regrew his hair.

Velveteen is not curly, it's crinkled.
And very crinkled at that :P
There is whats called loose rex, made from breeding 2 double rex's together I believe, it's still curly just not as curly as a regular rex.

They are fine looking critters :)

I breed for wide heads and low ears, then colors I want depending on if I'm making pets or food really.
I usually feed darker colored rats and sell more brighter colored as pets.

I've made a few cute curly coats over the last couple years :P

Usually my pet sales pay for the whole rat operation, I've been slacking on selling pets though lately but I've sold over 300 pet rats in just over 2 years.
