    Finally more dwarfs
I have been worried I'd lost my dwarf line since my older dwarf male doesn't seem to be getting his big girls preggo, and then along comes this beauty.
There is 2 more possible dwarfs in this litter.
The mom and dad are obviously hets, I really should have been keeping better records :P

He is pictured with normal size siblings

I happily share my genetics, but peeps have to come my way :P

This boy turns out to be a double rex/velveteen coat as he's losing his coat and looks like a lil alien rat now, haha.
He'll make me a ton of curly coat dwarfs hopefully :P

The breeding was a Siamese Velveteen coat male(Big white boy in this thread) to a Black Berkshire Rex coat female.
All of my rats make Siamese and Blue but what is going on with this dwarf male

The sibling looks like a normal double(patchwork) Siamese rat, but him?

He looks like patchwork hairless. But really, he looks closer to full on hairless to me. Double rex can be virtually anywhere between full body fuzz, and completely hairless. :D

There is no doubt he's patchwork hairless, mom is a rex dad is a velveteen and only 3 in the litter were standard coat and the others were a mix of rex, velveteen and doubles.
My curiosity is over his color

Probably Himi or Siam. With his hair loss it's already really hard to tell. :P

Well he's WAY darker than any of the babies that I've now been told are Siamese :P so i'm clueless.
I've made easily 75-100 or more Siamese babies and none have been this dark, just trippy is all.
Guess I'll find out when he gets large enough to breed a full sized female het

That little guy is the cutest! Makes me wish I would kept a hold of my dwarf line. I gave them up quite a few years ago.

Good luck finding out the color - I am also at a loss XD

How big do dwarf rats get compared to normal sized rats? I'm thinking about getting another rat but still on the fence...

The dwarfism reacts differently with all the dwarfs.
Some dwarfs stay super tiny, about the size of a large mouse but some get about the size of a small rat.

Both rats are about 1 1/2 yrs old, the dwarf boy weighed 120 grams last I checked.

And weighing in at 650 grams and growing still lol....
