    Reptile room sizes
I have a some what question/poll( possible) wondering
I am wondering about the size of everyone rpetile collection verus the size of the reptile room and such ( like if you have a set room for just QT snakes to sit in until they cleared)

My current reptile room houses 16 subadult /adult snakes ( bps and a single corn) and currently 9 hatchlings. that womping 25 snakesPLus I have to house my incubator , aspen, pine ( for rodents), and rodents all in a single 8x9 foot room. My QT room is my bedroom which is not large neough to house more than 3 snakes if lucky.

Dream building ( with mutli rooms in it ) would be at least a 14x30 pole building insulated, with it own heat,/ac, water, and restroom
with a small room that can be used as a office and in a pinch a bedroom( with tv and internet lol) .

My room is 12 x 12, only 27 snakes, 2 hatchlings thus far, I could comfortably accomodate another 50 comfortably.

My snake room is just a 12 X 12 spare bedroom that houses 4 snakes, 21 guns, and an assortment of knives and stuff...

I currently have over 60 snakes of various species and have plenty of room to grow.

My snake room where the pythons are kept is 220 square feet which would allow me to keep 80 to 88 adult BP and about 240/280 hatchling in racks, as well as having 4 (4x2) cages and a fridge incubator.

The office is also used to keep snakes (colubrids) and I plan on keeping about 20 of them total in that specific room.

Quarantine is done in the guest bedroom.

My snake room is a couple hundred square feet. Aka the man cave, so I have plenty of room for additions.

My snake room is a 9x13 room that I sectioned off in the back of my garage. I'm in the process of building a storage shed so I can clear out the garage, close it off, insulate and expand...

Mine is a 10'x12' extra bedroom on the second floor. It has 2 big windows so I don't need to worry about a light cycle and they both face south so it keeps that room around 75-76 degrees along with central air/heating. Currently, I have 2 bps and 8 corns in there but there is plenty of space for more in the racks. As for quarantine, I use the large closet in that room or they stay downstairs. The only herps kept on the main level are my original pair of corns and my beardie who are in display setups.

they are in a 9x9 bedroom. Currently houses 20 adult snakes, 18 babies, 9 bearded dragons, 3 roach bins. Plenty of room to keep expanding, building your own enclosures and racks to fit your room helps out a lot.

My snakes are currently housed in my living room in a tank and a rack. My future snake room will be one of our spare 10x12 bedrooms once I get it cleaned out and fixed up. Once it's ready for its inhabitants, there should be plenty of room for what I want to do. It is in our finished basement off of our rec room/living room so it's cool The house's A/C will do fine and there will be a space heater to keep temps up where they should be.

I plan on working with boas primarily and I will be extremely selective on the individuals I'll use for breeding - partly due to their size and space considerations. But I don't feel that I need more space because I want to stay small and specialized. I really only plan to have 2-3 pairs of boas for breeding although I also plan to work with a single pair of Angolan pythons and, eventually, a pair of Indigos or black tailed cribos. The snake room will only house the snakes I'll be using for breeding and I can maximize space by using racks, even for the boas (Freedom Breeder Racks).

My GTP will remain in our living room as a center display and I do plan on having one or two additional display animals that will be in our living room or rec room. My quarantine room is our other spare bedroom where I have plenty of space for a moderate-sized rack that holds both 27qt tubs and shoe-box tubs. I can have anywhere from 1-10 animals in quarantine at a time. That bedroom is, ironically, where my sugar gliders are kept and is also our "guest" room. :P

Currently all 4bps are in a RBI rack in my room. Hopefully at least one of the females will lay some eggies for me next spring and i can get a 2nd rbi rack and holdback four of the babies. (if i even get eggs, or that many, or ones that i wanna holdback). This plan involves alot of "ifs" lol but im gunna stick to it!
Hopefully once i transfer to a 4year college i can get an apartment or share one with friends but at least have my own room. I can only dream of the amount of space id have then! I love my brother, but a 16 and a 19 year old shouldnt be sharing a 9'x11' bedroom lol!

Currently I have a 13x13 spare bedroom that I keep my collection in. My collection consists of 30 ball pythons, 5 boa's, and 2 bloods. The room is a bit cramped right now which is why I am building a new room in my basement. I have it framed in right now and it is 22x16. That should give me a little room to expand if I want to. Right now I just qt in my bedroom, and normally never have any more than 3-4 snakes in there at a time.

My reptile room is my bedroom...though I only have 4 Leos and a [young] JCP so it's pretty cluttered in here, but at least my bed and dresser still fit XD I gotta keep the reptiles in my room anyways since the cat is roaming around...my room is considerably warmer than the rest of the house...awesome in the winter, sucks in the summer, lol. I'm moving on up to PVC enclosures over the tanks and tub I have now though, so things should get better.
...And yea, I'm still living at home, but been looking for apartments with 1 or 2 extra rooms in them even though I'm single, for expansion and stuff :p And having peace and quiet in my bedroom then might be possible; I swear the Leos time their sheds to my sleep schedule, rofl
*edit* derp, totally went off topic from the original post, but I'm not sure how big my room is, but it's not very high [a bit higher than the height of a regular door, about 7' ^^;] I think my room is about 11' by 11' or something, approximating because I have a mini measuring tape in my room right now that only goes up to 6' XD

My snakes are housed in our 2nd bedroom. It is kind of our "Animal Room" because it houses more than just the snakes. I do not know the exact dimensions of it but it houses a 10g fish tank, 3 ferrets, over 25 snakes, a leopard gecko, and a cockatiel. I also have a shelving unit for supplies, and a small fridge incubator. I have more room to expand. I could probably house an additional 6-8 snakes comfortably.

My 2nd bathroom serves as my QT room. Our two bedroom apartment comes with two full bathrooms and we only need one, so the other one just serves as storage space and there is enough room in there to fit a few enclosures. A tub and sink to wash equipment and enclosures are conveniently located in the room so I don't have to take the supplies out of the room for cleaning at all. I can keep everything seperated.

Of course, I plan to expand my collection a lot more. When I finally have a house with a little land, I plan on building my own reptile facility (much like BHB's, only smaller) with several rooms and areas for breeding feeders. :)

10x9 room. Have two 32qt double racks (total of 36), two retic setups, a carpet python in a 29g and a few 10 and 20long tanks with beardies in them. I still have plenty of room and and now figuring ways to get a few 41qt racks and a 6qt baby rack. QT is not in my house but in another houses extra room.

I have a walk-in closet for all my reptiles except for the cresties. The temps stay the steadiest there so all I have to use for the bp's is a heat lamp that gets the whole room up to the right temps. The leos and sand boas have heat pads. It's pretty small but it has shelving for all of bins for my (future) ball pythons. I also have a lot of room in my bedroom for any extras

My bedroom, even though I only have a ball python and a corn snake, it gets stuffy as I have a very small room. To add to that, I am getting a salmon arabesque BCI, and getting a 4 foot cage and I don't know where it'll go! Anyone got suggestions?

Reptile room is 200 sq feet. Only have 12 ball pythons at the moment, but have lots of room to grow. Planning on filling it up!!!!!

Currently have some Sentec 41qt racks, PVC Enclosures, 2 incubators and a 160 gallon tank for my Florida Soft shell and its still pretty spacious. We'll see what its like when I get the hatchling and juvi racks in this fall. QT Rack is in the adjacent room (Laundry Room).

I have about 80 animals that are taking up a two walls of my insulated and airconditioned double garage. Other half of the garage is being considered as long as I still have room for my beer fridge, which is also the mice freezer. I started with a walk in closet as the snake room and have more than enough room in my house, but I know some of my guest might be sketched out with 80 pairs of eyes watching them sleep... I have a shed for the more typical garage gear and we just leave our cars outside.

I am lucky enough to have ther use of my entire basement...lest the small laundry room I built for my wife and the small furnace room.

The basement will eventually be sectioned off for my mice and rat breeding, my bearded dragons and the remainder (and most room) for my ball pythons.

My reptile room is 8 x 11. Right now it's perfect for my 6 snakes and my small rodent colony. I put it in the smallest bedroom in the house to make it easy to heat in the winter and keep reasonably cool in the summer.

If my snake collection grows, and it likely will, I'll keep the snakes in the small room and move the rats into what is currently the junk room. That will give the rat colony 12x14 of space to stink up.
