Hi from Baltimore!
Hello everyone!
We're a family of herp lovers, and I am excited to be part of this BP community. I have recently decided to dabble in some python breeding, as I have been breeding cresties for a few seasons now, and I've decided its just not for me.
We have several snakes, including some BP's, carpet pythons, kingsnakes, a rusty brindle rat snake, and our oddball out, my 10 yr old skink Titus. I'm down to 2 crestie girls, but hope to sell them soon to fund my future BP projects.
I found this community by accident, actually, searching for BP breeders in my area.

Thanks for the snake compliments!
I'd really like to start out with Mojaves. I don't know why, but they really to me are good looking morphs. Having a blue eyed lucy wouldn't make me feel too bad either. I just love albino and white snakes (not White Snake the band haha).
I hope to take more pictures of the rest today, if they want to cooperate.

That's awesome! Can anyone recommend a good breeder within an hour or so of the area? I need to find someone I can form a relationship with and trust, as I want to do this right the first time.

Where in Baltimore are you located? What are you looking for in a breeder?

I'm in Ellicott City, actually, but don't have a problem driving up to an hour in any direction (maybe more for the right snake). I'm not sure why, but I have some unreasonable phobia about shipping animals.
As for what I am looking for... Well, I want someone who cares about the BP community. Sure, I know we'd all like to make a buck or two, but I don't want money to be a breeders main concern. I would like someone who has strong, healthy, well taken care of animals. I'd like a breeder who says, "This snake is het for blahblah" and there to be no question in my mind that is fact.
Plus, if someone could take me under their wing, and teach me, that would be a huge added bonus, but not a necessity.
I have particular interests in what I would like to produce, and I am teaching myself about genetics and BP's in general. My husband has owned snakes for years, and I, for the past year, have been breeding cresties, but I've decided its not really my thing. So I am familiar with the care that goes into these animals.
