    Is it poisonous?
Won't it get like 20 feet?
Aren't you afriad its going to eat you in your sleep?
Why on earth would you keep a pet snake?
    Won't it eat your dogs?
    Won't it eat your cats?

The most common questions I get are:
    How big does it get?
    What does it eat?
Won't it eat your other animals or hurt you?

    "Is it slimy?"

Is what I get most often. I say no and offer to let them hold our female bp, who's super tolerant of just about everything except my roommate's little cousins, but they started to get a little rough when they wanted to start dancing with the snakies... And then normally they get really excited that holding a snake won't kill them immediately and that it isn't slimy.

    Does it bite?
    Will it bite me?
Don't the mice you feed it gross you out?
How can you watch it murder mice?
    ... :/
    lather, rinse, repeat.

Some repeats, but here are the questions I always get...

    Do they bite?
    How big is your biggest?
What do they eat? Then - Do you feel bad feeding them mice?
    Are they poisonous?
    Aren't you afraid they'll escape?
Are they safe around your dog/cats?
Didn't you hear about that baby who was killed by a python?
And the most common & annoying question... Why do you have snakes?? You can't even cuddle with them!

Oh yeah, I forgot one... "Is it happy in that little bin? Isn't that way too small for them?" And they'll be talking about a 5ft BP in a 41qt tub, which us snake people know is PLENTY of space.

    Also the ever popular:

    Does it bite ?
    Aren't they dangerous ?
    Ewww, snakes are gross!
How can you stand them in your room?
Aren't you afraid they'll escape in the night and kill you or your husband ?

    Lately it's been :

So, your like a rodent serial killer ? - I'm not joking, either.
What do you mean your going to BREED them ?

The most common question I get is "Why?". Literally my friends and family just ask "Why do you have snakes?"

    It's because I can, and it's what I like!!

Yeah this is how i SHOULD reply when people ask me why i keep snakes. Granted i work at Petsmart and 90% of the people that come in own dogs and think snakes are either deadly or gross.

The most common questions i get are:
    Why do you have snakes?
    You have how many??!?!?
    What do you feed them??!?

Other than that, it's not to bad cause i prefer to inform people rather than be defensive. Most of the time they aren't going to hear it no matter what you do, or they will listen a little and leave smarter than when they came in.
