Light Josie Ball compared to Super Pastel Ball......
I pulled this little guy out today and just though wow he is getting light. I compared him to a super pastel and his contrast just blows my mind. I can not wait to mix Josie Balls into other morphs to see what happens. I figured I would post a picture now that the clouds have passed :) Thanks for looking.

They are a new Morph. It is a co-dom/dom. This one came out extra light for some reason. I have made 14 or so over the last few years. Only 2 females and this crazy light one. There is no pastel or ghost in it. Pretty nuts huh? I have not really put prices on them yet.... I still have not made the super. I should have a female big enough to go this season though.

Wow. I thought the "Deserts" were the way to go when it comes to color/clean/contrast but this one actually blows them out of the water. Never thought I would say that...

Honestly, this is the most beautiful Ball Python I have seen. But I have always liked the ones with pattern, color and contrast. Clean and light at that. And that snake has all that to the max.

    Huge Congrats !!

Female Josie, Light Male Josie, Female Fire
Southern Style How are the yellow belly babies you got from me? I hope they are doing well. I have a hold back from that clutch that is growing like a weed!!

So here is another picture I took today. It is raining so I took it on my porch to get as much natural lighting as I could. Here is what is pictured.

Female Josie, Light Male Josie, Fire Female.

I really have no clues on how this light guy came about. I have bred my original Josie to three different females over the last few years.... All normals. One thing I have noticed is all the Josie Balls have a blackish stripe along the belly of the babies. Either way I am excited and I hope I can get him to breed this season!!

I might of asked you allready Joe, what are the numbers, meaning 1 light one out of how many produced? Maybe its hidden gene odds thing?

Well I Steve here is what I got.

    1st Breeding: Josie X Normal: 4 eggs, 0.1 Josie 0.3 Normals
2nd Breeding: Josie X Normal: 7 eggs, 4.0 Josie 1.2 Normals (You have one Josie)
    3rd Breeding : Josie X Normal:10 eggs, 8.1 Josie 1.1 Normals (There were twins)

Every mother was different. I actually cleared out every normal female in my collection....... except for my Big Momma female. I held onto her because she was my first female. I use to sell my normals a feeding after they would lay. I am thanking God that I decided to hold on to her. Maybe she and the Original Josie have some recessive thing going on. Maybe its some weird hidden gene. Not quite sure. I wish I had more females but I guess that is the way the dice rolls. I have named the Light Josie GOLDEN CHILD :) Thanks for reading.
