My vote is for a normal as well. A really nice one though. The belly shot shows some spotting so not a pastel.

The spotting doesn't necessarily mean that it's not a pastel - I hatched a lemon pastel this season that didn't have a completely clear belly.

Although I will agree that this particular animal is not a pastel.

not sure if it the pics or me but the snakes nose looks like it shorter than most. might just be me, We cut a record ( for me ) 11 yards in a single day and could not start until almost 10am and were done by 4 pm lol

If it not a normal it one heck of a dinker project for you and for a freebie I say a great deal either way.

Honestly, until proven otherwise through breeding, there is no real way of knowing what it is het for and should be considered a normal.

It is very nice, though!! :)

If you are referring to the fact that the OP asked if it could be het Russo. That's a "visual het"... one of the snakes that make blue eyed lucy's.

I love that head pattern! Nice color, granite like pattern, but definitely not a granite. Looks like a cool snake to dink around with:gj:

If it's a Russo Het you really can't tell in pictures, its really subtle, I've seen then in person and unless you've dealt with a lot of ball pythons you really wouldn't be able to tell the difference. It looks like an awesome normal in the pic... But pics can be deceiving.

I'm not sure on whether it's a normal but it's definitely not a pastel, nice pick up for free :)
