Carpet python growth rate - Kitty's getting big!

I just took a few quick snapshots while having Kitty out of the cage and realized just how BIG she's gotten! I figured I'd post some old pictures too so you could see how she's changed over the past year+

She was hatched summer of '08, I got her in.. May (I think?) of '09, these photos aren't at any particular intervals but I tried to get them to show significant growth changes

She's such a sweetheart. As her name implies, she is such a kitty cat and handles great.

She's probably pushing 6 foot? I haven't measured my futon but I think she could stretch just about fully across

what kind of rifle is that, looks like a 700.

I Just measured the futon mattress and it's 7 feet long so she's definitely over 6! As you can imagine, it's kind of hard to get a weight on her with all that length, she doesn't exactly stay in a bowl to place on the scale. With a bit of work it seems that she is around only 2000 grams however, so she has plenty of growing yet to do. For how long she is already, I bet she'll end up putting even more length on her before long.

You know it seems every time I think about how big she is, I keep thinking she's put on another foot.

I swear just a month and a half ago I was saying "yeah she's about 5 foot" and then two weeks ago she shed and I was saying "hmm.. maybe 6 foot?" and now she's probably getting on towards hitting the 7' mark!! Un-freaking-believable... I just LOVE coastal carpet pythons. I hope this girl breaks the 10' mark sometime in her lifetime. I'd love to have a double-digits snake, but the gf has asked that I not get anything that gets bigger than kitty, lol.

thats awsome i cant wait till, my carpet female gets that big. lol that would be a major, handfull a carpet at 10 foot plus lol. carpets are probley the coolest snake, and i have kept 9 diffrent species. carpets and guns cant get much, better than that.

She's a beautiful snake. And yeah, she's getting pretty big.

looking good man, remember i told you she was going to REALLY start growing? she'll get up to length and then her head and girth will catch up.
