Where do you keep your BP/BPs?
Alright I cant decide where to keep my BP so that he is out of the way and isnt disturbed during the day. Right now hes in my brothers room who is at college but when he comes home I have to move him out. So just for curiousity, where do you keep your BPs?

Re: Where do you keep your BP/BPs?
Mine are in the office in a small rack right beside my desk. If we stay up late and keep the lights on, I drape a dark blanket over the rack so they still have their "nighttime." :)

The BP and other pythons are kept in a bonus room above the garage that is my main snake room.
The Colubrids are kept in the office since the temps are lower there and better suited for them.
Quarantine is done in the guest bedroom.

I have a bedroom in my basement I converted to a snake room. Works great as it has an attached bathroom.

I keep mine in my bedroom, I like them there. It is easy to manage and there is little to no foot traffic except when I'm sleeping and I can sit and watch them if I choose to.

Re: Where do you keep your BP/BPs?
My bp is in our living room. The tank is situated on a counter top and there is a fair bit of foot traffic since it's near our back door where I let the dogs out etc. But our bp is not normal, lol. She seems to like the bit of activity and will poke her head out of her hide or out from under the leaves of her plant to check us out. And when we watch tv in the evening, she'll come cruising. She is not shy. If she were, I would move her tank somewhere quieter.

Right now, they are in our computer/art room. Soon they will be moving in the basement in their own room.

I keep my 2 balls in a room I use as an office. We kinda call it the computer room. It's actually a spare bedroom and has a bed but nobody actually sleeps there.

I keep my snake in my bedroom. There is no disturbance in my bedroom.

Re: Where do you keep your BP/BPs?
I keep mine in the bedroom, since it was my only option... I've had roommates for the past few years, and they wouldn't appreciate me taking over common areas with 29 snakes. But my last roommate just moved out, leaving me with an extra bedroom for now. I'm tempted to turn it into a snake room, but I'll be moving or getting another roomie soon - so probably not worth doing.

Mine are housed in the living room for now but once we move into a bigger place I hope to have a room solely for my snakes and their future brothers and sisters :gj:

All my animals are in my living room. My lizards have always been in my living room, and don't seem to mind me anymore, they used to run and try and hide when I would walk up or by the tank, but now they are pretty chill.
My BP is actually tucked nice a neatly into my mini-bar. The 10g tank fits perfectly in there, and I actually have room for 2 more on 2 other shelves on in the mini-bar. I'm hoping to make that happen soon.
My Dumerils is on my bar top in a 20g tank. She doesn't seem to mind me cooking and being in the kitchen a lot as she's burrowed nearly all the time. I know she will stick her head out and watch me sometimes though.

Mine are kept in the bedroom on some shelves. It's quiet and warm in there

Dedicated snake room, what would have been our 3rd bedroom.

Re: Where do you keep your BP/BPs?
all 47 snakes are kept in a spare bed bedroom. it is dedicated to them, has closet in their that will be the future incubator,is perfect size and should hold at least 50 clutches

I keep all 21 of mine in my living room. Actually my living room & dining room & kitchen are one big area in an L-shape. They are in natural enclosures with hides & limbs & cypress mulch for substrate. None have had any problems with traffic, or noise. They all are hearty eaters & stay friendly. They know when it is mouse/rat night & start cruising hoping I will notice they are hungry. My quarantine room is my bedroom & closet.
If & when I decide to start a breeding program I will change things so they have quiet & privacy, but for now they are just my babies! I love walking past & seeing all the sweet faces following me.

Re: Where do you keep your BP/BPs?
I would say any room that does not have a lot of foot traffic or noise. also avoid areas that have vents blowing down on them, rooms where you can turn the cold air off/ shut the vent is best

They're in my bedroom and in another bedroom devoted to them (I missed that on the poll). We're moving into a rented house at the end of the month, and it has a finished basement, which will be devoted almost exclusively to the critters.

I turned my office into a reptile room. My daughter now conveniently has a computer in her room ;)
Two walls have racks, one has a table and the other wall will soon have another rack I hope.
-
Mine are under my bed :D In tubs. I used to have them in tanks, but I got tired of fooling with humidity and temps so I converted. When I can afford it I'll get a rack, but for now, it works. I have my bed on risers and so to get them out, all I have to do is slide their tubs out.

I build a snake room in the basement because my wife never goes down there! She said if I moved my bp to the basement, I could have as many as I want! I am up to seven so far! LOL! Only had one a year ago!
-
Both my snakes are kept in my bedroom, because I only ever go in there to sleep or get something. I also find it easier to regulate the temps there than in the living room because the window is never open and the door is usually closed.
I'd absolutely love to have a reptile-specific room, but with only 2 snakes and 1 lizard (who's in my living room, in case you were wondering), it's kind of impractical. Not to mention I don't have an extra room to spare. XD
