Het Red Axanthic x Lace Blackback Clutch HATCHED- DUW
This year my Het Red Axanthic (Woods line from the Herp Vault) bred my Lace BlackBack (From Ballroom Pythons South). So far 4 of 5 have exited their egg. One Red Axanthic (I am assuming it can be called that)- it's a girl! I am not sure if these two have been crossed before.

Photos are on different backgrounds to show her appearance. Also a photo of (what I am pretty sure is) a normal sibling. Second to last photo is of mom (lace blackback) and last is of dad (Het Red).

    Thanks for looking!

Thanks Patrick. I think they are like lessers and butters. Same gene, just a different line. I am really happy with how she looks.

I have some more photos, just waiting for the last one to exit its egg. I had just gotten home from NARBC Anaheim last night and found babies in the incubator, so I just eeked out some time to post the red axanthic before crashing for the evening.

Thanks so much Adam! I couldn't be happier. By the way, the last of the 5 has exited his egg. It's a Het, but looks different than his Het Red father and Lace Blackback mom. Pics will be up when I get off of work later tonight.

One more thing....this Het Red male I got from you has ATTITUDE! But I like it. He's an awesome boy. Thanks!

Jess, he was at mine :)

Pat, she did stop by, albeit briefly.

Jess was at WFR's table, around the corner.

Congrats, by the way. Very nice looking!

Re: Het Red Axanthic x Lace Blackback-the weird hatchling
This is the last hatchling to leave its egg. It is a boy. Very different than mom and dad (see original post). Clean back, connected alien eyes, but lots "eyebrows". For those of you that have experience with Het Reds or Lace BlackBacks, have you ever gotten anything like this out of your clutches?

I've gotten responses from a few breeders that it might just be a jungle. What to you think. I'd love to hear opinions.

With a normal sibling (I am assuming normal, they don't have any traits of the het red or lace blackback).

Looks like a Het Red to me.

Het Reds often have "eyebrows" or squiggly lines. Usually not as nice as your little one but its not uncommon. Its a fine example if you ask me.
