Large constrictors in Louisiana

Anyone know where I can find some laws regarding keeping burms in Louisiana? I keep getting info in other states when I google.

Hey Beanie its jon. I'm not sure the site but Joe could help you out with that. All I know is you have to have a permit for anything venomous or over 12 feet. Like I said Joe can give youvall the info you need about how to go about getting it

venomous or over 12ft needs a permit. Im sure theres a better link somewhere, but thats what popped up with a quick google search.

Thats all I get too, I need to know how to get the permit. Wildlife and Fisheries dont get back with me. :mad:

There was a new law passed this year in Louisiana, any venomous snakes or constrictors over 8 feet require a permit now.

Yeah it definitely passed. Gotta love what the Louisiana's government finds time to legislate.

And just to note it doesn't cost anything for the permit for registering the bigger constrictors. Guess I've got a few more to register now that the 8ft+ passed....
