New here. Short intro and pix..
hello. my name is Omar and i live in Atlanta. just wanted to introduce myself and share some pix.

I have been keeping reptiles for about 11 years now, recently getting back into BP's. I currently keep Leopard and Crested Geckos, as well as Bearded Dragons.

I recently acquired a trio of BP's. I got an Albino male and a couple of unproven het females.

Well anyways, on to the pix.

First, is my DIY rack. thanks to all the DIY plans on the forums for inspiration. it was much easier than i thought.

Next, its my male with female #2

And finally, what I've been hoping to see...

Do you think its a good lock? This is my first year breeding BP's so i don't really know what to look for.

    Anyways, thanks for looking

He'll be with her for a couple more days and then he'll get a few days rest and a meal. Had him with my female #1 but didn't notice any locks the few days he was with her.

The females are supposed to be 100% het, so hopefully i get at least a couple of female albinos to eventually replace them.

Once i get a few albinos and hets, i plan to hopefully trade for some other morphs. really want some pieds and clowns!

Welcome. :D I live right outside of Atlanta in Dallas. One note on the breeding though...once they unlock you'll want to separate them and then re-introduce him at a later date so he isn't worn out. I've been told to let him have a month's rest after witnessing a lock but I'm sure everyone has their own opinion.

I've read 3 days on 3 days off. i'll prob give him 5-6 days rest and then put him with female #1 and see if shes in the mood then.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I notice there is a bunch of GA people on here.

Does anyone know of any herp clubs in the area?? I know of the Ga herp society, but their website hasn't been updated recently and doesn't say if they do any monthly meetings and such...

It's open to all UGA students and on a case-by-case basis for "normals". I bought a gecko from a member about 6 weeks ago. They went on some bird banding trip that weekend.

I found that it was too much trouble to join, which is sad. So I'm hoping that one day someone starts a thread wanting to start an "amateur herp" club. I do want to go herping around Atlanta, just not by myself. And Toby is to busy partying and waiting for a phone call about his car to call me :P :D (good luck btw)

I used to be a member of the atlanta aquarium assc. Its cool how the have a monthly meeting w/ a small auction. They bring in speakers on different subjects most months.

would be cool to have something like that for reptiles....
