    Where you at Daytona?
I am just wondering how many forumn members actually went to Daytona. I was there yesterday. I was impressed with some of the snakes there. I def. was crushin on the champange yellowbelly who had a beautiful white ringer. Augh, I was in luv. lol. Next was the mimosa. I will hopefully have some pics of the snakes I was impressed with soon. :D

Took the family to Daytona - their very first time to see that many reptiles in one place. Their jaws were dropped the entire time.

My kids were a little disappointed not to see Chewy but they were happy to get to talk to Brian. We were probably browsing at the BHB table for about 15 minutes and Brian bagged 2 snakes for 2 different people while we were there.

I guess Breeders really make good money on those shows. There were snakes over $5,000 there!

They wanted to go home with a pewter but we're in a no-money-for-snakes stage.

The boys surprised me with 2 orchids just for me. :D

I spont both Saturday and Sunday at the show. I brought 3 of my kids with me and we had a good time. I was a bit disappointed with the overall quality of the animals at the show. They were either very high end or low quality, not much in between. One of the larger vendors told me that this show has become a price war so he doesn't bother bringing the "good" stuff. That is not to say that it was bad stuff, just not the best examples of a given morph. Overall, it was a good weekend.

I noticed that the only person that were having some decent show prices was Ben Siegels. I didn't notice really any good deals. I ended up inheriting a bearded dragon bc my friends worked out a deal 3 high quality bearded dragons for $40.00. Otherwise, the deal I got was with my distributor after he price matched and blew my expectations out of the water when he sold me a het albino pair for $75.00. But thats about it on the deal front. I noticed that one table had pewters at $750.00 for males where another would have it for $400.00.

I was primarily there to see and meet the vendors and look at the awesome snakes I could not afford. lmao.

I noticed when you walked in the door the better and higher quality of the snakes were on the left side of the wall and a few in the middle section. When you got to the right side it was pretty generic on the morphs and some were really horrible representations of the morph that you questioned its valitity. We walked the whole show in about an hr. but started some wheelin and dealing for an hr. or so.

The kid came home from Florida, so I didn't go. I rent a home for him to attend college and he comes home the week of the Expo. I'm pretty sure he knew the weekend was THE weekend, but he comes home on Thursday and I'm scheduuled to leave on Friday morning. Had to eat a few dollars because of it. Missed this one, hope I didn't miss too many good deals. ;)

Nah, I didn't think there was really any great deals. I think if you wanted to wheel and deal you might have been able to work a price out, but for the most part, I noticed it was pretty much full price for things.

That's why I added the ;) at the end. I've been there enough to know that it's more of a Show OFF than a Show. I do like to go to talk to the vendors, set up some networking and see people that I don't get to see but once a year.

I almost took his house key and got on the flight, but to keep peace with the Mrs, I thought it best that I stay home.

I hope everyone had a great time.

I was there Saturday morning and was pretty much unimpressed. Left by 1:00 empty handed. I won't be going again unless more big breeders come back.

I was there selling my Lucite Bugs (did pretty good). Got to go to the auction and picked up a Russo Het for White Diamond male. Didn't really know much about it, but just liked the colors. (Maybe I'll try breeding in a year and a half.).
I only have a normal now, so maybe another morph soon.

It was bred, and donated to the USARK by the cool guys at Metal Morphs.

I'll try to take some pics tonight.

It's a bit of a long distance from here, but I'm hoping to go when I don't have school responsibilities and money to spare :D

We were there, I just uploaded some of the pics Will took while we were there. Saturday we spent helping out USARK. The USARK auction was great!!! Was the largest fundraiser in the history of the industry!!! Big props to all that donated and all the volunteers that helped pull off a memorable evening!!! IMO...best item auctioned was "nothin"...yes, nothing was auctioned off for $100.00 (more than once lol). It was great! We went to the Big Guns bash too...we'll leave it at that lol.

I went on sunday, had a blast. I was given a ticket for 500 free crickets(or mealworms) just walking in the door!

I met Pavlov(and his lovely family!), Kellysballs(again), Alice Cobb(again), and saw several of the breeders I always like to check in on. I liked the show, even if it was smaller than it has been, it was still really fun to see tons of new stuff. I saw good prices and high prices. I saw pastels on one table at $300 each for males! But hey, his snakes, his prices! I also saw decent deals offered, just not on the AFT geckos I wanted, lol.

When I left, I found the cricket fairy had visited my truck and left two small boxes of crickets too! Yay for the cricket fairy! So I ended up with free crickets twice, met new BP.net folks, talked with familiar folks, new folks, oogled a lot of snakes, lizards and frogs and even a few tortoises and turtles!

Pavlov has a pic of me at the show.. it's apparently the only one, so I hope it turned out! LOL!

I wanted to go to the show sooo bad, but unfortunately could not make it. Ben Siegel is the best though! I just bought a '10 Lesser from him a couple weeks ago and could not be happier!

I have my '10 lesser female on hold at Ben's, I never had issues. I also have to pick out my het albino male this Friday. Hes an awesome guy, I do all my business pretty much with him. I'm planning on selling some of my hatchlings this coming spring to him.
