"Promise" was a gorgeous blackback possible het albino female we bought when we were first starting out. We were naming our new snakes as pets, but assigning them 3-letter ID's to match a format we had in mind to use when we started hatching babies. Her name was clever because we thought she held promise to produce some terrific albinos (which she did!) and her code was PMS, which matched her attitude... And it was PMS, 7 days a week!!! I refer to her in past tense, not because she died, simply because we did sell her once we had albino females up to breeding size. I don't know if the new owner kept her name as we did or if he changed it. A picture of her is below...

I have a 2 year old male named Bellamy. He's super shy, but once he gets out he chills right out and HAS to explore. definitely not the type to just lounge on my neck.

And on a side note, everyone except Delilah & Dave has a name from Shakespeare... seemed like an appropriate theme, seeing as I'm a librarian & former English major. ;)

My only BP is named Yidhra, after the Outer God from the Cthulhu mythos. She usually appears as a beautiful woman, but has existed since time began. She can devour any living thing and take its shape.

It seemed...unspeakably horrible and epically awesome, seeing as I love H.P. Lovecraft's writing and the Cthulhu Mythos.

Scarlett 0.1 Taking care of her for a friend till he can find a place where he can take her back. This is the one that got me into BPs. Very calm considering her past. When my friend first go her her belly and parts of her head where covered in burns (idiot w/ a heating rock in the tank) hence how she got her name.

Maynard (1.0) normal, named after Maynard James Keenan (What? He kinda looks like him when he peeks out of his hide! lol) because he's my vocal idol.

When you try to get him out of the enclosure he tries to take his fake plants with him, but once he's out all he wants to do is explore. When we try to get him around someone's shoulders he wastes no time in trying to get down their shirt, and he's only content when he takes up both your hands so you can't do anything other than hold him.

Cleo and Dash- Both are like two peas in a pod, the same personality. They never miss a beat, they constantly watch everything. Hands down best feeders in my collection!

Hershey- Great well mannered and laid back, could care less what happens, all except for feeding day! On feeding day she turns into a completely different snake, even arches up like a rattlesnake to strike at the rat, she's too funny.

Reese- Very Timid, will try to escape from anyone holding him. Also the absolute worst eater in my collection, he thinks he's anorexic.

Tipper- Will not eat a rat to save her life, very strictly a mouse eater. Loves to climb, one of the best climbers I have.

Remy- Very shy, one of the biggest ball pythons I have ever seen go into a ball and will not come out until he is back in his enclosure.

Penny- Easily scared but quick to surprise strike. Also very illusive, never see her but can tell she has been out.

Bumble bee female, un-named- Like a chainsaw in scales, a very pretty but evil little snake. Always have to check her after feedings, even if she's not hungry she'll kill the rat.

Albino female, un-named- Likes to make a mess, whenever something smells, she's the first to be checked.

Females

7 year old normal banded female - Desire - named from the lyrics in a song. Very sweet girl who has had 2 clutches for me. Eats like a pig.

4 year old reduced normal female, possibly granite - Seqouia - named after the toyota seqouia. Has had one clutch for me. a little shy and will only eat live mice

3 year old pastel female - Isis - named after Isis foundation in smallville. Very nice strong yellow girl, a little timid till shes out of her bin for a while. will be breeding for the first time this year. Live mouse feeder only.

3 year old normal banded female - Kamea - name means sweet darling in hawaiian. Sweet girl eats great, high yellow color with tiger like banding. Is a ch so will be breeding next year as a dinker project.

unkown age guessing 2 years old. normal female - Shawty - was a rescue, shes a little nasty and bites at random. Has a very strong het pied marker so plan to pair her with my 100% het pied male.

2 year old normal female - Exotica - ch with a very cool pattern that looks exotic, lots of blushing. Very sweet girl, loves to eat, also has a het pied marker so she too will be paired with my het pied.

3 year old black back normal male - Koa - name means brave in hawaiian.ch . bought him with kamea. very sweet snake loves attention and head rubs. he will actually press his head into your hand. like his name says, he is very brave, has never balled up. loves to eat.

3 year old male normal poss het clown. - Arrow - friendly snake with a nice light very clean pattern. loves to eat

1 year old nomal male poss het lavender - Jackpot - Named jackpot becuase I won him in a raffle. Very light colored snake with an attitude. hisses alot and occasionally strikes. loves to eat.

1.5 year old mojave male - Kemosabe - friendly boy loves to eat. Has a ? in his pattern.

unknown age male normal - un named - was a rescue. Has a axanthic like look to him, will be used as a dinker later on. Not that friendly.

3 year old male cinnamon - Apple - has fathered one clutch for me. shy and will occasionally strike. feeds on only live mice.

4 year old male spider - Zoltan - named after the character Zoltan from movie Dude wheres my car. Kinda shy at first but friendly. Has no wobble but does vibrate when you feed him. Has fathered one clutch for me. will eat anything.

4 year old pastel male - Cyrus - came with his name. was my frist morph. has fathered one clutch. friendly but can be shy. fussy feeder. will change throughout the year. will go from a hunger strike to live mice only to savage for a f/t rat.

1 year pastel banded male - un named - holdback from last years clutch. very friendly and loves to eat

1 year old 100% het pied male - Savage - becuase he is when it comes to food.

1 year old yellow belly male - un named - eats live mice only, not a fan of being handled.

4 month old albino male - Pax - apparantly means peace in latin but not how he got his name. Funny story - when we forst set up his bin we needed a hide so best thing I could grab was an empty tampax box. he loved it so we named him Pax. He is a live hopper feeder but will likely switch no prob with his strong feed responce. Very friendly and a nice high contrast too.

1.0 Normal- Enzo is the shy type with others but when he's with me he's obnoxious! He gets under my fingers when i'm typing (and doesn't mind when I hit his head), sticks his neck WAY out towards the TV when i'm watching a movie with him, and allows me to hold/touch his head with no problem. He sticks his tongue in my ear a lot as well...

Let's see:

Toki and Nago - 100% het pieds, a girl and boy I got from 8-Ball. My first two snakes, Toki is a very sweet girl, big and pretty, but a fussy eater. Nago is my love bug. He's very shy and sweet, he also gives kisses.

Mauro - Also a 100% het pied. She's a good girl and an agressive feeder.

Kina - Mojave female. She's going to breed for me this season I hope, and she's a curious thing.

Kaiya - A big, gorgeous light normal I got from Jason's Jungle, she was supposed to be a het ghost, but never proved for him. His loss, my major gain.

Koroku - Proven pastel male. He's a bit of a mystery, I got him from a show, but I have no clue why I bought him. I certainly didn't mean to, but he's here and I love him.

Kodama - Vanilla male - Feisty little boy who never misses a meal.

Okoto - Amazing blushed Mojave male. Saw him online, fell in love but had no way of getting him. Then about a month later, I saw him for sale again, and by then I could, so he became mine. I think it was meant to be.

Yakul- Low white pied male. Got him from LLL Reptiles. Very shy little guy who only eats live mice. My foundation stud for my future pied projects.

Kuri - Magnificent blush-back Cinny girl. She was a once in a lifetime snake and I was sooo happy to find her. Hopefully she'll make me some stunning babies next season.

Akashi - Giant normal female, she's my clean up crew for the rats no one else eats. She's also my "show-off" snake because of her massive size.

Mystic - Beautifully marked dinker male, was supposed to be my hubby's snake, but his nervous striking habit scared my hubby off so I adopted him. He's really a good boy now, he had been neglected and abused as a baby, so he had every right to be nervous.

Tatari - One of my two newest normal girls. Picked her up at a show dirt cheap, I had to have her because she snapped at the guy who was being a little rough with her, when I took her she just melted into my arms.

Akira - The second normal I got from the show. She the smaller and lighter of the two.

Athena - This is the wonderful little baby I adopted who was born without eyes. She's very fearless and sweet and a wonderful eater, I adore her!

Bitsy - My husband's baby spider male. Saw him at a show and couldn't pass him up, he's a very good eater, but time will tell if he scares hubby off.

Elizabeth (normal) - is not like any BP....she thinks she is human and wants to be out with us at all times watching tv...her fav is to lay in bed with us....she thinks she should sleep with us....(ahhh NO) and when you go to put her back in her enclosure she will tighten up and try not to go back in.....she is a freak nut.

Henry (bee)- If I only had a brain (you know the song)lol

Samantha - (butter het ghost) she only has eyes for my hubby

Alexandra (spider) - just wants to be held and pet....weird. also if it moves she eats it....has a ferocious appetite.

Isabella (dinker possible black pastel) - found her at a pet store...so tiny...only 30 grams. She is one of my biggest eaters now...also one of my biggest hissers....we just laugh.

Lancelot-black pastel het ghost- such a sweet little baby ....loves to chase live food

Arthur - butter ghost - he is all BP...looks like he is saying ...just feed me and leave me alone

Walle - late '09 male, normal. He's turned into a snippy little thing. He was the first snake to bite me and he tries to bite me all the time. I've increased food size, etc. He's just turned into a grumpers.

0.1 2010 Pastel. Her name is Dora The Explorer, because she's always getting into something. Going somewhere or coming from somewhere. Other than that, she's the most laid back BP I've had, or ever held.

1.0 2010 Hypo/Ghost. His name is Glaedr, and he's my little secret spy. He always has a way about doing things that makes it seem like he doesn't want to be seen or noticed. He always sticks to cover while cruising in his tank, and will periodically stop and watch what you are doing for a few minutes before continuing. Even then he will shoot you glances to make sure you aren't watching. It's soo fricking funny to watch.

Magnus 1.0 Mojave he has a question mark on his neck he is one super curious fellow.

Orion 1.0 Spider He has a perfect stag on his head so I figured orion the hunter.

Legion 1.0 Rescued normal He is a trooper roman legionare

Monty: '10 Mojave. Cheeseball name, but my boyfriend insisted xD (next time I'll tell him -he- can pay the $$$ if he wants to name the snake ;) ) Really sweet little boy, he's an absolute trooper when we have curious friends over who want to handle the snake. As it turns out, he's quite a ladies man, worked himself into the warm dark bra of many a maid :rofl:

Only one male normal so far, named him C.J. after David Spade's character in 8 Simple Rules! But yesterday someone asked me what C.J. stands for. They never specified anything on the show... so, spur of the moment decision, I said, "Connor, John," after the leader of the human resistance against the rise of the machines. Hah. And that's my little story.

He's a rescue, with a burn on his neck (the white spot) from a previous owner, and I have no idea how old he is. Wish I knew.

Well, I stuggled for a while trying to come up with a name for my snake. At first I thought it was a male because that's what the people at the pet store said. So I was planning on going with Draco after the constellation, but one of my friends said "That's a greate name, just like the guy in harry potter!" which promptely made me change/shorten it to Drake(the fact that Drake the snake rhymes was a bonus).

Then I found out "he" was actually a "she" and started trying to come up with a better "female" sounding name... but realized I was already in the habit of calling her Drake, so Drake it is.

She's not head shy at all(I could pet her head for hours and she doesn't care). Her first shed I actually had to help her get it started after over a week and the shed on her belly started to flake, but it still wasn't coming off her nose. When you can stick a face cloth in a snakes face and peel back shed without her moving at all, you know she trusts you around her head.
