Bulging eyes on a hatchling?
Had a hatchling stick his head out of the egg and his eyes were blue and bulging. Turned out the umbilicus was knotted around the lower portion of his body, although I don't know if that had anything to do with the eyes. Has anyone ever had the bulging eyes deal right out of the egg and did the snake survive it or is this something that I should just put him out of any misery he might be in?

What kind of BP is it? Because I've heard that BEL'S have bulging eyes (bug eyed) like that. And you had said his eyes where blue.

Oh, man I know how it feels. Sorry to hear that.
Re: Bulging eyes on a hatchling?
tied umbilical cord might have strangled the snake.
sorry to hear that, hope all of the rest of the clutch hatch with no problems.

It was tied around the lower half of the snake and we got that taken care of, but he died the next night. The rest of clutch is doing great. :gj:
