    Your snake(s) age?
I know that Ball Pythons can live anywhere from 20-almost 50 yrs old and I've noticed here lately that some people on here have talked about having 20+ year old Balls...I'm curious...How hold old is YOUR snake or snakes?

I've only had snakes for a year so all I have is 2 Balls that are a year old, a 2010 Cal-King and a 2010 Corn.

My ball pythons are all 2007 and under, so 3 years and under. My largest female is unknown as far as age.

Not sure the exact date that he hatched, but mine is a '10 male, and he's the only one I've got so far ;)

All of the info I have read about their lifespan in captivity has said 20-40 yrs with the possibility of 50 yrs. I'm sure 50 is very rare but apparently still possible.

Now I don't know how true this is, but on this page it says that the oldest recorded Ball Python was 48 yrs old when it died. I had heard this somewhere other than this page before as well, if I track it down I'll post it too.

I hope my guys live that long!:gj: If they do, they'll probably outlive me but that's ok, my son is becoming quite the snake handler :)

    Another that says 48

Like I said, I'm sure it's extremely rare for one to even hit 40 but you have to think that with all of the advanced knowledge on how to take care of them nowadays, 40 years from now there just might be more of them around than you would think.

I believe the ball python mentioned to have lived to the ripe old age of 48 was housed at the Philidelphia Zoo. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not sure, everything that I have read on it has just said that one lived that long but didn't go into any details. On the other hand though, I haven't taken the time to research it heavily either.

I adopted him last month. The previous owner couldn't devote as much time as he wanted to, and wanted to find him a good home. I was more than happy. :D

Not entirely sure how old my guy is but I'd guess about 7-8 just guessing from his history. Went from a home where he was under fed to a home where he's fat, happy and thinks he's gonna get some booty.

I got mine in March of 2003 as a juvenile, so I'd guess that he's around 8 years old now.

My female is estimated to be about two [she was a surrender/seizure, the pet store didn't specify], and my boyfriend's male is 10, maybe 11 now, I'm unsure. My boyfriend bought him when he was a hatchling. He's also about five and a half feet.
